I love my 12 volt vacume (I happen to have a Dirt Devil but cheaper ones are out there) ! Cleaning up spilled Cheerios or whatever, getting those crazy little corners and inaccessible areas debris free- the vacuum is the deal! After that little electrical project and all those little pieces of wire, sheathing etc. My very favorite use for the little sucker is Gnats or mosquitos in the boat or camper. They tend to congregate on the roof and near the lights plotting their next moves on me .. Very satisfying getting them before they get me. :wink
 
Brilliant idea George stopping the gas fumes venting while BBQ. I have copied your tip. My gas vents are maybe the old style, they took a 1" or a 1 and 1/8" (not sure which size) rubber tip. Works a treat.

That's good Martin, we never want to blow up "real good". Simple solution to take one worry off the list. Some days I 'm pretty sharp! Generally Tuesdays between 2 and 330. The rest of the time.... :thup

Just tried this with a fresh corn, works great. A lot easier than boiling it for 15 minutes and heating up the house when it's 100deg. Outside :lol:

camera tip. If you are using a cell phone camera on the water they tend to turn every thing blue. Use you sun glasses as a uv filter to cut the glare and restore some of the natural color. Just hold them up to the lens.
 
I was wondering if someone would mind measuring the all-glass door of their 22 Cruiser. I am at home, and our Dory is at the cabin, so I can't check for myself. I want to cut out a screen to fit over the door opening. Thanks!

Hi Lori, Kerri On has the all glass door and is 21 1/4 wide by 58 1/4 high with 3 inch radius corners. This measuring the door frame inside to inside. Hope you guys are getting in some boating, George
 
my "tow rig" is a 19 year old Volvo 4 cylinder wagon. Anyway, the headlight covers are beginning to show their age and yellowing quite a bit. I know they make a cleaner labelled specifically for lens polishing but I thought I would try the 3M Fiberglass Restorer I already have. It worked!
