I've been told they are extremely comfortable and as I plan to cruise solo I thought one might fit nicely in the cockpit.

Thanks!

We have one that we take with our 5th wheel... large and heavy. Hadn't considered it in the boat because of the size and weight. Since you will be traveling solo, I don't see why it wouldn't work. Generally when cruising, our cockpit is packed with other stuff, but we do carry two comfortable folding camp chairs (no foot rest on the chairs, but the aft seats in the 25 make a good "ottoman."

Also, since you will be using your Frontier to tow - do you have a bed cover for that? We have a solid fiberglass bed cover for our GMC pickup that allows us to take whatever we want and store it in the back of the truck; out of sight and reasonably secure. Just mentioning that in regards to the Lafuma chair... put one in the bed of your truck and see how much space it takes up.

Enjoy the outfitting... until July 15th comes around. Then, have a wonderful time with the cruising!

Best wishes,
Jim

I ordered a tri-fold cover for the pickup yesterday so I can use it as my storage closet.

I think I will go with my current folding camp chair that I use on the 16 until I spend some time on the boat. It's one of those that folds down real small and fits in a bag. XL size from Eddie Bauer I think. Comfortable and lightweight. Has the advantage that I could always take it ashore too. Just missing a footrest but I suppose a cooler will work well for that.

The July 15 start date has been pushed - or I guess PULLED as it is now closer! Planning to leave NC on June 29 for a shakedown cruise of a week or so then home for a bit then back up north for more serious cruising.

We picked up two gray folding chairs from Sam's Club that are really comfortable. They aren't tight across the front under the thighs. Those two chairs and the coolers make a very nice lounger. Not good enough for sleeping/napping, but great for the marina entertainment or nights away from civilization and they are easy to move to shore. We have the nice 5th wheel loungers and they are definitely not able to fit our CD22.

We have the recliners at the cabin and I'll try to take one down to the boat and see how it might fit this weekend or early next week if it isn't too rainy. I'll let you know what I find out.
