I have a delemia of my own making (sort of). I had ordered the Camper Canvas for the CD 25--and left it with King Marine Canvas I would call two weeks before I would pick it up at their shop. Well, with the cardiac situation I am not going to go to the PNW--and I didn't call, so assumed that the canvas had not been made. Today I got my mastercard bill, and the canvas was billed out the day I had ordered it, (over a month ago) but I had not been notified. So the canvas is done, sitting in the Seattle area, and I want to try and get it on the CD 25 before my surgery. I had made a wrong assumption that the Camper canvas could be shipped easily (I had one shipped which was larger than the CD 25 4 years ago). Today I talked with Dave, and he tells me that it is $350 to ship the camper canvas to Florida. No boats comming this way for at least a month. (where the frame could be put inside a C Dory or C ranger) So if anyone is driving down, and would have room for the bows and would get here in the next week or so, I would pay them half of the shipping cost. I realize it is a long shot--But not sure how soon Dave of King Canvas can get the material and bows to a trucker to be shipped....

Thanks,

Bob,
Tell Dave to put them on a Greyhound Bus. They have the best rate and would be your best bet. They can handle the bows because of the open bays under the bus allow for the oversize that the freight companys want to charge big bucks to handle.

I have shipped to New York in the past and saved a bunch of money doing so.

Thanks, I'll suggest that and check locally!
