Here's another interesting product I saw on Boat Test.

Propspeed is a coating for propellers and metal running gear as an alternative to anti-fouling (toxic) paint.

Since C-Dory's are outboards that can get the props out of the water not sure you need it there but does say it can improved fuel consumption. Might be good for the trim tabs?

I wonder why they don't make this for the hull? I understand this particular product is for metal surfaces.

Looks good though if you use you boat enough.

Mark I have read some of the bad reviews. The product seals the bottom making it easier to power wash the bottom. It doesn't stop the barnacles. I don't think I want to paint the bottom of my boat for one trip. The only other option would be to give it a couple coats of wax and see how it works out. There are bad reviews out there on everything and for the bad ones there might be lots of good reviews that people don't take the time to write up because there out having a great time.

SleepyC is in at Bitter End Boat Works for bottom paint right now. I finally got tired of cleaning barnacles off the bottom, and that is with less than 40 nights/days on the water. So some of the decisions were IF I wanted the trim tabs, transducer and OB legs painted. Decided to do the OB mounting brackets, but not the tabs or ducer. I have been using Baby Bottom Diaper Rash cream ( ahhhh AKA Zinc Oxide ointment) for those and they have worked well. This "PropSpeed" might be a good alternative to the Desitin.
