Another Interesting Boat I saw...

I stopped and talked to the owners of this boat. It's called a "Hobo" and a brief google search shows it has a following almost as loyal as the CD. Looked pretty cool in person.

They are great little boats, we called them bathtubs. They were built in Canada but production stopped years ago. I was going to buy one once and had all the information about them at one time.My friend who runs RedWood Charters in Sault Ste Marie has one of these boats and apparently serves him well although there is not much deck space.Tug

And here is one I saw, headed into Sequim Bay one fine day. If I remember right, it was a Swiss design. Lots of forward cabin space.

Was looking at some of the smaller house boats on the Cumberland river a few weeks ago when myself and a couple other C-Brats were running the river. Two brands that do not appear to be still in production were Steury & Delta Cruise. No camera on board that day but for sure they looked fun.

Just too little life to enjoy all the different boats.

Hardee I believe that boat was made in the USA. I think it was called "cutter"--but probably had some other name associated with it.
However, I believe that one of these made an Atlantic crossing.

Thanks Dr. Bob, It may very well have been. There is an insignia on the port side, just below the aft edge of the F/B canvas line, red with a red cross I think, too small to tell. Kind of looks like the Swiss Army knife logo, but that may just be where the design is from.

I like that it has the high, voluminous bow section. I may not punch through the waves, but it will rise to the occasion.
