I put a radar arch on last year and never did move my anchor light. I need to do that this year. The radar arch has a piece of tubing coming off the aft side of aft cross bar that looks like that's the intended mount point for the anchor light. In brief, there's a 2" or so long stub of tubing that has a thumb screw off to the side. So if I can find an anchor light on the correct diameter tubing (looks like about 3/4"), I could bend the tubing at a little less than 90 degrees and insert it into the protrusion from the radar arch and tighten down on the thumb screw. However, all the anchor lights I see in West Marine seem to come with a fitting on the end and don't look like they have excess wire on the inside. So, what do I buy? My thought was I could get an anchor light on a post with a connector built in and simply use a tubing cutter to cut back a few inches (leaving me with a few inches of wiring left over). What have others done for this problem?
