Add steering to existing 9.9 kicker plus add electric for dinghy, or remove and use electric for both?

Purchased EP Carry sans battery, plus extra prop and 3ft cord extension. Shipping was $203 from WA to RI. Total out the door price (sans battery) $1860.80. Will get a little battery for dinghy use, try it on the big boat, and test it to see what size to get for kicker power. If it doesn't work, I'll just keep the 6hp on it and still pleased with the range options ahead of me for various things, but anticipate it working just fine for the 22, as well or better as a 2.5hp for baby "get you to the side of the road" motor, and it'll save me 40lbs off the back as well, if it works out.

Dave great analysis. Thanks. But if you wait until next year ....no one knows. My philosophy is make a decision and live with it.

So, for around $100, you can buy a 25Ah IP rated 12V lithium and add 2.5 hours (9.4 miles) of half-power range.
Typo: you don’t add 2.5, you “get” that total. I started and stopped that message at various times and changed my tables at various times. Wish I could edit it.

That’s a good philosophy. I bought the EP Carry when you were writing this; our messages crossed (above). Now to live with it!

To Joe's credit, I feel I owe it to him to post an addendum to my earlier message, saying that he emailed again separately, realizing he missed the decibels between old vs new, to say "We don't have any numbers on something so specific. I'll try to get a video today that might be helpful for you.". So far, I like what I know of Joe. Other people's testimonials are matching my own so far.
