Aaaaah!...our first trip!

Looks like a fun trip. I keep telling my wife that along a river in Tennessee is the place to be as ground zero for retirement!

It's finished now!

We found a place where they are selling RV lots starting at 4k! Just a bare field, and I can't remember where exactly it was located, but it was on the western end. They have an Ebay ad too. All sites will perk for septic, and water/power on the lot. Looked like flood prone as most stick builts were on stilts.

Thanks for the great pics and narrative, learned more about the area and how beautiful it is. Congrats on a successful first trip too, you did your homework well!

Great slide show Larry and Jo. Thanks for sharing. Back in my college days (in the early 60's) I remember hitchhiking from your back yard (Swannanoa) over to Knoxville to visit folks. I didn't pay much attention to boats and rivers back then......it was all about girls... :wink .

Thanks for the great pictures and narrative. I worked at Watts Bar Nuke many years ago thats beautiful country. Congratulations on your first voyage and heres to many more!

Nice photo essay and story! :thup It's a real treat to see how we all use our boats... may this be just the first of many successful cruises!

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Larry - nice log and photos of your trip.

I see you haven’t put a top on the roof frame you built for Thelma Lou. Do you plan to cover it and if so, will it be a soft-top or hardtop?

Thanks Dave...and all!

We're having a full canvas enclosure made. The top was finished before we left, but we only used it saturday night in the uncovered slip. Our canvas guy went to work on the rest of it on monday. Should be finished today or tomorrow.
