A simple opinion

I think a logo would be just one more thing to catch something sharp on and have loose threads hanging about. Put the $3 you'll save into something important.....like a beer cooler for that Snoqualmie beer.

The Factoryguy asked for an openion on Wed at 7:33 and here we are about 24 hrs later and 3 pages worth of feeback. I think not matter the outcome of this adhoc poll, it is should be clear to the new owners where and who they can count on to help in a timley manner.

Now...Logo..Mogo....Better quality seat....even if it says Stingray on it.

I'll also say "thanks for asking". I am of the crowd that feels that an embroderied logo is classy, but not essential. I have lived with the "comfort" of the C Dory seat for about 4,000 miles--and don't seem to be any worse for the wear. There are lots of different shapes and sizes of derriers, so I doubt that you could come up with a universal seat comfortable for all. There are very expensive custom helm seats, which are leathered covered, that I find not perticularly comfortable.

I say spend the money on the quality of workmanship--especially making sure that all holes into cored structure are properly sealed.

Greetings and thanks for opportunity to express an opinion. I would not bother with the embroidered upholstery, but I do like the idea of the wood steering wheel hub. They have a simple elegance and could be laser engraved with "C Dory by Sea Sport" or just "C Dory". Best wishes for your business.

David - you forgot to mention that you also have available (on TV only), custom manufactured fish whackers. These handy devices are guaranteed to knock fish out (given enough well placed whacks). They also can be used to
* train passengers to wear their pfd's
* keep the neighbor's dog in their own backyard
* reduce comments from "co-pilots"
* mash potatoes (clean after whacking fish and prior to mashing potatoes for that normal potato taste or don't clean to add that special, just slimed flavor).
* crack crabs
* pound out dents
* crack nuts
and 1000's of other whacking uses - your imagination plus the amazing fish whacker can lead to hours of family fun!
Not available stores, south Texas and Mozambique. Always follow the instructions and wear safety googles. May cause broken fingers, bruised shins or blindness when used improperly. Consult a doctor prior to using on children. Use by children or SeaWolf Joe requires adult supervision.

Dear Roger-thanks for posting the details. As a past satisfied customer ( it really is both a floor wax and a dessert topping) I can't wait for the Christmas catalog to arrive.

An interior logo has little value to me. The brand is well identified and we love our 07 though we never had logo's on the seats.
As for the seats, it would be a great idea to design or locate a strong higher backed seat that can be moved back and has at least one armrest and then to offer it as an upgrade with matching fabric. The crew and passengers move around as they like but I spend most of my time in that seat and it rarely offers much comfort. I tend to perch on the forward center corner with one foot braced up where the Vbirth opening meats the removable cushion.

Jeff,

Logo or seat upgrade neither one makes any difference to me. Have spent many 12+ hour days sitting in the Captains seat quite comfortable in a boat we love that has taken us places I never even dreamed we'd see. Along the way saw many Seasport and very few C-Dory boats. The "Big Deal" is a Quality Boat Maker like yours producing C-Dory boats and you asking us what we think.

I think it is improper and disrespectful referring to others as "cheap weenies" for merely expressing their opinions.

Chill out Ken, it would only be disrespectful and improper if it wasn't true.... :wink

Some of us are "Very Cheap Wennies"...but I am not naming any names.....Jim. :smiled

Mike,
I am "chilled out". I just don't think it is appropriate to engage in name calling on this excellent C Dory web site. Keep the threads on the high ground and eliminate otherwise stupid comments when referring to others.
