Alas, we sold "Sally's Choice" yesterday and she was towed away. A 1984 Gloucester 22 Sailboat which we have had for 4 years. It was just too much for her to handle alone and was getting so for me. Could have put roller furling on it but we only used it a couple of times a year. Better she get used by someone and loved.!

Sally still has her Bolger Bobcat, Gaff Rigged 12' Catboat, which she can manage by herself.

We are now down to just 3 boats, The next one to go is the 1995 Angler 16 I bought last fall!

Charlie,

My sympathies. We just recently sold our Montgomery-15 and I know all the same feelings. Do what's best for all concerned, (you and Sally, boat, new family) and go on enjoying peace knowing you have done right.

Save and enjoy the memories.

Ah, Charlie, please let Sally know that a lot of us here understand. These boats become "family". That Gloucester is a classic little boat. When it comes down to making the choice of which boat to take out and one of them doesn't get picked often enough... well, it's time to consider if another family might be able to give it the use it deserves. Not easy to let 'em go, though. Having kept our classy catboat for a couple years after we bought Wild Blue, I understand that decision making dilemma.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Thanks Jim. I remember your Suncat. I I could have found one of those near here, and I looked, we'd have had one!
