25 angler?

I am absolutely loving my 22 Angler as a inshore and near shore dive boat.
However, I'm always looking at the future.
Was there ever a larger Angler designed?
More cockpit / same simple cabin is what I am envisioning.

No but there was a rare 27 that is no longer made. It has the same beam 7' 8" as the 22, but with a much larger cockpit. The ones I have seen have a similar size or slightly larger cabin to the 22 cruiser, but may or may not have a head included, that varied in the build. They also had tanks built into the floor for storing fish, or whatever else you need to store.

I'm not sure how many different variations of the 27 were made, but I'm a big fan.

Have you looked at Parker? Their sport model, like a 2501 sport for example has a small cabin and a huge cockpit.

Thanks for the info, Paul.
Looks like you nailed it.

I found Great Republic's album from an early thread you posted in the past, and I can see why you're a fan. :D

Edit: Just found another pic of 27's with different window styles.
Looks like GR is actually a 26?

Thanks Paul,
Yes, the Great Republic could work as my dream dive boat!
Im surprised there's not more demand for that model.

The center console is nice too, but it lacks the C dory look in my opinion.. In my area, everyone owns a center console.

I did look at Parkers before buying my C dory.
I even made an offer on a 23.
I'm really glad it didn't work out. I love the look, higher gunnels, no step down cabin, simplicity, and lightweight aspects of my angler. I also paid less than half of my Parker offer:)

I have a 1994 Parker 2320 EC pilot house for extended cabin with a transom or tuna door. First owner was a diver and went to the Keys a lot. The cockpit is huge. We can have 4 deck chairs and a cooler and room to fish with space to walk about. The CC models have more space. We went to look at new Parkers instead of going to Cape Dory factory, and the looked at a 2801. Lots of space. Big boat with twin big motors. I bet it rides great.

Most fishermen on the East coasts use deep V center consules--they are available to over 55' with thousands of HP using the Seven's outboards (V8's)

I love my catamaran 18' Center console. I felt it rode as well as the Regulator 23 (really a 26' boat).

I agree that the 26 and 27 C Dorys are great fish / dive boats.
