22' Dory - Major differences?

Howdy, all... I have been looking at several 22', it seems that they have different setups over the years. Did all of them come with kitchen and have the same space inside?

Glenn, I believe that most of the 22s are similar, but there are some custom models out there. The express had additional seating, rather than the dinette and galley. There are various options for stove type and things of that nature, but in general the boats are pretty close.

In 2006 or 2007, the interior went from decaguard plywood to fiberglass. That was a move that was greatly decried, but has proved OK (I think).

Some of the others will probably chip in, too.

Hope this helps.

The angler had less cabin space and larger cocpit--no galley generally. Some boats have been customized.

Also in 1987 the hull bottom was changed from a flat bottom to a semi shallow "V", especially foreward.

Glenn,

I have a 2003 C-Dory 22, I believe it may have been called a Commuter model. The big difference is there is a bench seat behind a forward facing seat on the port side. The starboard side is set up with a sink and stove behind the helm seat as most C-Dory 22 Cruisers are. You can see photos of how it was set up in the C-Swell album. I added a table to fit my over nighting needs.

I don't have any idea how many were set up this way. One other I know about is C Eagle a 2000 year model. There are pictures of it in the photo album section also.
