Just got back from a halibut trip with a guy that owns a 20' Maxxum aluminum hull boat. I'm not very familiar with the aluminum boats but he said that the Maxxum and North River are pretty much the same boat. I've never taken mine in the salt water but he was telling me that he would be very cautious in rough water because of how little it weighed. I'm just curious as to if anybody on here has any experience with the aluminum hull and if the 22' Cruiser would do just as good, worse, or even better than a 20' aluminum hull in rough water.
By the way, the fishing was great. Picked up a 43" & 45" Halibut out of Newport, OR.
Thanks,
