2008 Venture 23 Pictures.....

From the boats that I have seen they are not self bailing but the floor does drain to a bulge pump. This is the same floor that C-dory now offers in the 22. Sarks boat was the first c-dory to get this and it works well for washing down fish blood while trolling as where I have to wait until I am under way to really get the floor clean and drained to the back of the boat.

I think the 23 CC's were not self bailing but the 26's were (consistent with Sark's memory). I assume the same will be true for the CC venture series.

The interior was fiberglass on the Venture 23 I test drove. The one thing I really liked about this model was the closed transom. The area created from that feature would make a great fish box. Which is the only thing I feel my Cdory is lacking :sad I've gone through at least 5 katch coolers, but those seem to work the best for me as far as fish storage goes. I'm looking forward to hopefully poking around these boats at the SBS this year.

We were advised today that the 23 Venture will not be self bailing as originally communicated to us. We did not question this feature at the time since other recently released models are self bailing. We sincerely hope that no one has relied on this information and we will not pass on any other details until we can verify them ourselves.

OK, now that the C C boats are officially being made by C Dory--under a different name--isn't time to welcome those owners into the fold?

Been there - done that - we already had this discussion....Don't remember the thread but the long and short of it is that they have always been welcome with the exception of one person who did all he could to be annoying.

Thanks for the link on the Loop trip. Looks to be a great read at a later time. Rumor has it the first one out is going to be named C-Lawyer.

Yes, these should be some nice boats.

Hehe...C-Lawyer :thup
The only real problem he had was the Wallas. I sent a comment with a link to this site ( I was following along real time), knowing he could get his problem solved here, but for some reason blog comments never got posted. 8)

Well, that certainly IS a Cape Cruiser; but it is NOT a "one only" ; and although a "Toland" boat, it is NOT manufactured by C-Dory. The story behind the legal battle is in a thread elsewhere on this forum. In case anyone missed this, Three Rivers Marine has a comparison set: http://www.threeriversmarineinc.com/compare.html
Most likely the new C-Dory 23 and 26 will be these Cape Cruisers from the actual molds.

Its looking good [ 95% sure] for the east coast debut of the Venture 23 at The Atlanta Boat Show . We have some passes , P.M.if interested ........ Its the CC Molds , I am still waiting for real pics from C Dory . Ill post as soon as I get em unless someone else does it first!

I'm happy to see C-Dory putting to use the neat CC molds. They have quite a few improvements over the CD 22 and 25, and offer nice alternatives.

I'm just a little worried, however, at the prospect of having to get the manufacturing process up and running on two new models when they've had problems with getting the details right recently on the basic CD models.

We've been looking positively at the company reorganization and industry slow down as an opportunity to get back to getting the details right. I just hope the new models (+ the CD-29), don't present too many new details to deal with at the same time.

Good Luck and Wishes to C-Dory!
