16 ft Cruiser wanted SE US

Interesting thread....but for giggles....no one is talking about any 18' C-Dory boats.. Yes, I have two C-Dory boats now (again). Thinking about selling, not giving away, the last 18 Angler built by the Toland family. Hull # 14.

Ill be putting fact n figures together soon...as we have just finished potato harvest, and, that has been followed by two days of basically sleeping, and falling asleep in the recliner. Aint as young as I use to be.

Under Freebyrd photos, subfolder named C-Byrd. Pics there. Yes, this is the hull built in WA, lived in FL for a while, sat unused for years.... then I was going to "clean it up a little bit.."... which turned to stripping the entire hull back to bare fiberglass, epoxying ever single thru hull hole, re-spraying the gel-coat on the interior, then, I got busy with a total refurbish job....and many, many thousands later....a 1984 C-Dory Angler, the last factory 18' Angler....not a Toland 18-6 or 18-8....but a true Angler.

I realize I will never get all my funds back...as those projects are a labor of love...and dollars....the love never ends, the dollars just go away...

So, Ill put some facts, figures, specs together...and post later. The boat is in WA state, today, in a barn all lonely. I travel cross country couple times a year,,,,but, that is why we have trailers.... to enjoy the waters of our Great Nation.

I have a very nice CD16 Angler available located in Springfield, IL. She is advertised withing this site as OPA! Please see link and photos on the left.

The full list of features is available under "for sale by owner" herein. Look for the title: NEW! CD16 Angler (1985) in Springfield, IL $16,000

Thanks for your consideration.

Fla Beachbum, I looked for about 6 months and ended up with my 19 from Idaho. It originally was purchased by a Florida resident. My advice is to pay for shipping (towing) if needed. Opa is a nice find.
Just my 2 cents. Welcome aboard.

I was on the water near Port Townsend and saw a couple of guys doing crab pots. I looked like an over size 16 but not a 19, so I asked. It was a factory built 18. In deed, a rare bird.

I Know you are in Florida and Bambina is in WA state, about as far away from you as can be but I believe that you really, really need to get on the phone and have a good talk with Catman (Brock) about one of the most cared for 16 anglers on this site. I don't believe there is a better one out there.

Roger Sensei is right. The new 16's would drool if put in a show room with Brock's Bambina. That is one boat I would be comfortable telling someone to buy sight unseen, and it would exceed expectations. And Brock is as straight up guy as you could deal with.

And if you need help getting it to Florida I can do that for you.

HEY I got a secret from SANTA There's a C-Dory on his sleigh and It's headed this way.........Pics to follow when the big guy arrives with it. Thanks to all for your help and guidance especially SANTA.

Hey, Roger and Harvey, thank you for your Bambina promo. That was very kind of you two. And Harvey's offer to trailer her, well, that just goes to show the depth and character of the guys on this site.

Joe, great purchase, and I wish you many years of cruising fun and exploration in sunny Florida.

Joe, we are holding our breath and jumping up and down at the top of the stairs like kids on Christmas morning. Do tell... :xseek :gift

Good for you Joe. I am happy for you and Christa as you have finally found the right boat. It took awhile, but I know you have learned a great deal about C-Dory boats from this site and your persistence has paid off with the purchase of this boat. It will give you many years of joy and happiness as you take her out on the water. Good Job.
