And if you want to test drive a "real" fishing boat, that takes a lot less gas and costs a lots less to own then one of them 22's or 25 foot mobile homes, Shan and I would be glad to take you out on Dakota.

Tom - you and Susan, or anyone else, are certainly welcome to a test drive on Daydream at Bellingham or during the following week's Gulf Island cruise, no foolin' (and it your "spellen" won't disqualify you!).
 
Tom - we'll be up in the area for at least a week prior to B'ham, although we have to leave Saturday morning of the big weekend. I'll give you a spin on a CD25, but you might not want to let Susan go along. The head in the originals is almost as big as the bathroom in my house. I always figured a guy should put a sealed French door in the thing, fill up the bottom half with ice and call it a fish locker.
 
Thanks pat and mike I will take both of you up on that offer because I am sure the newer boats handle a little different then the older ones. I would love to find one of the cruise ships but they are far and few between. The head is for me more then susan. I hate having to move the portapotty around all the time and susan has to pee about once a hour. Its all the dam tea she drinks. Also I want to anchor out more but I need a shower every morning to get me going. the shower would be great while breakfest is cooking.

Which event are you asking about? It it's the one of Tom cooking and showering at the same time.....I'll pass.... :mrgreen:

If it's the B'ham gathering, I've already signed up for it at the top of the page.
 
Amen, Rev! We will just have to avert our eyes if Tom decides to shower and cook at B'ham! Thanks for that image to haunt us, Susan!

BTW, It looks like there are about 35 boats signed up... so Tom could have one of the larger audiences assembled for a CBGT...

I dont know James, I am not sure I have forgiven you for all the " look at us with the dolphins, is it still snowing at your house? " post all winter. That kind of thing takes a while to get over, by the way hows the shower in your boat????

It doesn't suck. 8) We also use the solar shower - put it on the cabin top and run the hose through the head window. Nice to have options. While the boat is certainly compact, we haven't figured a way to shower AND cook breakfast at the same time... at least not without getting the eggs all soapy. :wink:

Please accept my humble apologies if my "hey look at me in the warm sunshine with dolphins swimming to and fro, oh look at all the girls in their bikinis, and doesn't this sand feel soft and warm between my toes" posts this winter were in any way offensive. What I really meant to say was, "Oh, I really miss freezing my ass off in the frozen northland and isn't it great when your fingertips are numb and you have snot frozen on your lip?" Is that better? :twisted:

When we are at Bellingham, if you DON'T come on our boat, I will be crushed. And you know how sensitive I can be. See you in July.

Well gosh, if the legendary El & Bill will be there, I guess we'll HAVE to attend! :-)

Julia has a Very Important Previous Engagement (the new Harry Potter book release party, I kid you not), so it'll just be me and the girls. Wow, this is going to be a real adventure, I think! :-)
 
I am trying hard to get Dotty to give me the OK to follow the fleet from Everett to Bellingham-just me and the Lizzie..

Legendary??

Bill decided to test the hypothesis that he is "above the constraints of average human lives" by trying to walk on our lake this morning and we're still applying CPR without success.
 
Perhaps the use of "legendary" is a bit of hyperbole:

Mostly, it just didn't SOUND right for me to say "Well gosh, if the chronicled El & Bill will be there, I guess we'll HAVE to attend!"
