05/16 - 05/18 - Friday Harbor 2014

Hi Chris,

Welcome. No need to sign up for moorage. The event signup sheet is at the top of the C-Brat home page, you can just add yourself. The potluck, which is one of the main attractions of the event, will begin around 5:30ish on Saturday and usually lasts about 1 1/2-2 hours. If you can make it that is some of the most fun. See you there.

Sometimes things just don't work. I've been sick and it has not gotten better, so Two Bears won't make it to Friday Harbor. Penny and I had really been looking forward to the gathering.

Chuck

George & Carolyn, We left Jones Island this morning for Deception Pass. May make it back tonight. It's glassy smooth out here on Rosario Strait at the present.

Chuck, we will miss you two & sorry to hear your sick.

Chuck & Penny. Sorry you won't be able to make it it to FH. I was looking forward to catching up with you guys. Hope you get to feeling better.

Hi Terry,

Hope you hung on to that beer for me from last year's FH? I think I might be drinking 2 or 5 if this great weather holds out.

Martin.

Hi, Lately will not be attending the Friday Harbor gathering. My mistake I intended to post for the Pender Harbor gathering. Sorry for the confusion....PvL

I had intended to complete a project before the FH CBGT but didn't make it. As it turns out, I need a 2 7/8" hole saw for this project anyway.

Is there anyone attending the gathering who has a 2 7/8" hole saw I could borrow?

If so, can you please bring it to the gathering? Thanks in advance.

Peter,
I gotta see this! Most people are afraid to drill holes, but not you!
2 7/8"! Wow!
Lol!! Funny Patrick. I'm upgrading to an authentic 30 amp Shore power system and the inlet asks for a 2 7/8" hole. Don't worry, the inlet will be under the gunwale. :wink

Hi, I just checked and I have a 2 7/8 hole saw in my hand as I type with pilot. I will bring it with me.
Thanks Tom. Yeah that's an odd size.

Thanks for the offer Barry and I agree, no need for the 3 incher.

Daydream and Amy Marie should be departing Squalicum sometime around noon tomorrow for Friday Harbor! This will be our first outing since Sidney last September, and the first since our major detailing by The Bitter End Boatworks! Daydream is looking GOOD! Hope we can remember how to run the dang thing, and we especially hope somebody will be there to catch our lines as we try to remember how to dock! No time to got out and practice docking over and over until we get it right! Lots of fenders!

And I will have an ocarina or two on board, anybody like to bring a guitar and having a go at playing a tune or two together? Bathurst won't be there, and besides, he is a dedicated soloist! I am looking for an accompaniest! PM me and I will send you some sheets!

Pat and Patty, I'll bring an extra pair of sunglasses 'cause I bet that reflection is awsomely bright. :hot

Chuck, Sorry to hear your not up to par. Was hoping to do some catch up on the southern cruise plans.

We are in Mill Creek at McMenamins, after 10pm. Just ordered a burger and a pint of Sweet Oblivion Porter. After that drive up through Portland and Seattle, I just might have two. ;-) We should be launching from Bellingham tomorrow morning. See ya @ Friday Hbr
