03/06 - 03/08 - Indian Cove, South Sound

I just heard back from Harbor Master - we now have confirmation on the Marina Pavilion and the Dock - I will need a final boat count before the weekend so we can assign vacant slips once the guest dock fills up.

Perhaps we can have a sign up sheet -

Daily Dock fees as I recall were
$10/day up to 20 feet
$15/day 21 to 30 feet
$5/day for shore power

Looking forward to S Sound fun

Thanks for your patience

Mr Anderson, I know you had a flood and all but...... Your dates fall in the center of the week.
Up here on the banks above high water, the dates for Friday - Sunday are March 6-8.
I'm just sayin.

I am sooooo ready for a cruise! Just home from four days at Swedish Hospital where Cordell received a new knee. We had a great room with a view of the waterfront, and I spent many hours planning, (read daydreaming) my next boat trip. Indian Cove will be perfect.

Robbi

Cordell and his knee are doing great!

I sure hope Cordell's surgeon used Marine grade stainless for the knee, so he can come to a CBGT. :)

Last year Pat suggested that they might want to do a Saturday - day trip in S Sound. Since the slips will be reserved for boat size based on registration on this site - not much worry about losing your dock spot at Indian Cove -those wanting to explore are welcome to post their suggestions and plans

Thanks
Jim

Just a reminder as mentioned above - the actual dates for S Sound CBGT in Indian Cove are March 6 through 8th -

Those planning to drive and camp on shore overnight should make plans to stay at Jarrel Cove State Park camp ground less than a mile south by water or road
Jim

My suggestion would be for a lap around the trail at Hope Island State Park. Anchoring/mooring buoys only, no dock and no pets. Very enjoyable stroll through the trees. Karl

They assured me that Cordell's knee is 316 stainless, marine grade.

Take up fishing??? He gave it up when I took it up. Now that he can't run anymore, maybe I can get him to go fishing with me. I am earning some huge points this week! I should be able to talk him in to just about anything, until the drugs wear off

Thanks for the sign up. Something to look forward to for sure.

Robbi

Robbi,

Best wishes from one aviator to another -- surely a huge thumbs up to Cordell. Hope you were able to inject a little boating lust in one of his drips... and fishing too??

:love

Karl,

Seeing that it is the S. Sound, can I leave my bear bell home? Roger

Why in the world would you want to ring a bell to attract Bears? Why not just hang some meat in a tree??

Charlie

Hi Dusty!

Bears! It's the south sound geoducks that you need to watch out for. I think pepper spray and tarter sauce should keep you safe.

For the larger geoducks, I would think that pepper spray and tartar sauce would be bearly enough to keep one safe.....

(Robbi, I'm guessing that Cordell probably reads some of this and that is why he doesn't show up at the gatherings....he thinks we are all certifiably nuts!)

(Cordell, if you are reading this, I wish you well on the recovery with the new knee.)

Jim et al,

What do you think the chances are of getting a slip on Saturday for one night only? I have a big meeting on Friday that I must attend and was thinking of trailering down Saturday morning.
