Hi All,

We just booked our room and we are EXCITED!!! Can't wait to see many old and new faces. Look forward to visiting! Also, I just love to look at new boats.

Can anyone help with suggestions on what to bring for contribution to the evening events? We'll have to find something fun to bring.

Crazy John & Amy Frazey

P.S. My youngest brother (28 years old) who is a helicopter pilot in the Knoxville, TN (Sevierville) area may be joining us as well. Did I mention I'm excited?

It has been a while since I have posted..been busy with work ,my other life and doing my Rear Commodore Duties, getting ready for my Vice Commodore duties, blh blah blah ....Anyway, It will be interesting to see If the if the new dealer, Lake Union Sea Ray, has any idea what we are really about and our impact has been on C-Dory . I am sure Scott Mathews and Jeff have clued them somewhat..but I think it will be fun for us to see the the "crab in the headlights" look when we descend upon them.

Hey Jim.....Good to hear from you .....I was just thinking it's been awhile...
Do we call you "Vice" or "Sir" now ???
That's a funny thought ...."crab in the headlights"...I never thought of it like that.... but yer right...we can be a bit much in a group...

Jim-

Whatta' eloquent phrase- "crab in the headlights".

I had to looks in up with Google!

No images- :sad

But several references in literature and nature! :teeth

In the deep south in the tidelands, the crab migrate from one body of water to another as the salt concentrations change, putting them on the roadways where at night one can see hundreds or thousands of crabs in the headlights!

There are also references to this in modern literature where it is used to symbolize/represent a negative view of the poorer folks in the South, many of which are usually invisible because of their backwoods residence.

Getting back to the visit/cruise, if we are indeed the social trash of the yachting world, we'll surely find out when we drop in on the Sea Ray aristocracy and estate.

Great use of the term, Jim! Where did you become familiar with it? Living in the Biyou's of Louisiana?

Joe.

As usual with my slanted view on some things, it stumbled out of my brain as a variation of "deer in the headlights" ..since I know of some real crab enjoying folks around the pub , I thought is was appropo for the subject. instead of the Bayou of Louisiana, it may have been from dreams when I grew up on the windy, snowy, hot, windy, stormy plains of Wyoming.

As far as trash of the boating world, considering how many big yachters have C-Dory's now... we may be actually lifting up the yacht world. I am sure we will get our 'spect...

Ok, No calling me sir yet..haven't got my orders from Her Royal Highness in England yet... If I held my breath on that.... well I would be crab bait.
I'll stick with my given names, Jim,Jimmy, Jimmy John ,James John, and what I though for a long time was Dammit Jim.

Jim

I post in green to honor our boat's color.

I talked with Jeff Mesmer today and we had a good conversation about what is happening. the Factory will open the doors around 6:30 pm on Sat,evening. the meal will procede at app, 7:30 ish. they will give tours of the factory and there will also be another grand garage sale like they had last year. Thanks Jeff!!!!!
as to the tickets for the boat show-------
I will recieve a bunch of them fromt the factory and will have them to pass out at the motel. iff you need the tickets before you arrive at the motel, you should contact me on PM and give your name and how many tickets you need and I will place them in the will call ticket booth at the show on Thursday when Byrdman and I and several others go there that morning.Jeff has informed me that he is not set up this year to have you calling the factory for the tickets so I am going to be the contact for them.

hope you all are getting ready for a grand Xmas and then we can concentrate on the C-Brat gathering and extravaganza at the Hawthorn Suites motel

OK, We are at around 40 rooms reserved so far. time is gonna start gettin short for ya'll
I have copied and will paste the info once again for any newcomers and all the other ones that havn't called Linda yet. yeah, thats right, you know who you are, it is real easy there. just pick up the phone and dial or even easier is to email her.
I am adding parts of the earlier info post from Linda here for you all to see again.

I am also working on the Tickets and once the factory has them I will get them and take care of the logistics and all. I have not tried to ignore any of you that have PM'd me I just have nothing to tell you yet.

Studio suite (sleeps 4) $75.00 + tax per night
Townhouse suite (sleeps 6) $85.00+ tax per night

Free meeting room (all 3 spaces) Friday for 50 rooms reserved
Free meeting room (2 spaces like last year) for 30 rooms reserved.

They're only increasing the rooms $6.00 per night for next year--a much better price than anyone else booking by themselves. I think it's fair. I hope the group does too. They DO value and appreciate the C-Dory group--they said it's always a pleasure to have them at their hotel.

Have the group start calling me or e-mailing me with credit cards asap.

I would like a check for $10.00 per booking sent directly to my agency (to eliminate the confusion of running around collecting money at the function).

PS I'm also more than willing to book anyone's air/car for the function !
Thanks, Roger, for your help.

OK then - I signed up for a room. Saturday night only, but I might get up there for the Friday thing and can get the room a night earlier. I got the big room in case the kids want to go and stay in it while I do the parties(s), boat show and convention. I don't think they'll want to, though.

Finally, I signed up for this fantastic extravaganza! From my count, I'm the 67th C-Brat to sign in. (Thanks to Linda, I was even able to procure a room at the Inn for Friday night, so I won't have to sleep under my truck... ) Since, I have to work Sunday, I won't be staying there Saturday night after the factory gig......so, I reckon you can call me just a "one night stand"....

Thanks Roger (Sensei), for facilitating this event! (It's a darn good thing the SBS isn't during the "planting" and "harvest" season on the Johnson Farm!)

As an FYI, unfortunately, I can't attend the SBS and attendant dinner events this year as planned. And it was to be our first C-Brats event, too.

I have to work Friday too late to make the gathering, and Jennifer has to work Saturday. I might be able to make it over for the show during the day...we'll see.

That's the problem with working for yourself: you have a tyrant for a boss...in this case, the "boss" insisted I attend a 25th anniversary party held in Portland for a company I work with.
