01/26 - 01/28 - Seattle Boat Show

I think we should have a mini-convention for all of the ROGERs on here.
Dreamer, Sensei, Rogerbum and Fishtales--- who did I miss? :beer :beer

Can't wait.... Time drawing near...

Fun pic of Mike and Brenda ("B"), and me on our 1st trip to Seattle together, prior to them purchasing GYPSY...

We now know B's hair is "Seattle Silver".... What a great time this was. For those of you who plan to go on the Argosy Dam and Lock Cruise departing at 1pm on Friday, 26Jan07, please drop me a PM or email. I will contact them in a few days and see if we can get a C-Dory Group Discount.

Well, somebody had to work.

She is just starting in the TN state system and her annual leave program is brand new. She is saving her time off for cruises... Hopefully we will get her in Bahamas, and maybe the Erie Canal cruises next year.

Thanks for thinking of her Don.

Sue is catching some sort of Friday sickness so she can attend... she is planning to take some "leave" so she can fly to the Bahamas to be with us on that trip..... but we will miss Brenda at the show.... wish these people would just retire so they can play like the rest of us.....

Has the factory anounced what boats they will have on display at the show?? I sure would like to see a finished 25' Ranger tug... especially one on a trailer. I always wanted one of the Nordic Tug 26 boats as they claimed they were trailerable... but later when talking to folks that had them I found out you needed some sort of semi-turck to tow them.

Joel... Sorry to hear Sue is "getting ill".....even if it is from work...but do look forward to seeing her in Seattle.

Our Brenda will be there, our Sherryl will not.

I just talked to Susan....She said sure she would like to go on that harbor cruise.... so count us in.... I will call Fishtales and ask him if they want to go too.
I really am hoping we will be able to get an indepth look at the new 25' tug.....

Dave-

I was thinking about the details about the party Friday night, the details on about the dinner at C-Dory on Saturday night, and whether we were being offered complimentary Boat Show tickets by C-Dory again.

Joe.

Joe.

I haven't heard anything about that Joe. (My posting of page #'s was more to assist Silver C.)

Silver C - I see you are a new member and this is your first post, so let me welcome you aboard. You purchased a great boat and joined the best site on the net. Hope to see you at the Seattle Boat Show/C-Brat/C-Dory party and if you ever do any cruising in the northwest, I hope our paths cross.

I have not deserted ya'll :D just tryin to get all the work done that I let go whilst I played in the land of Byrdman....lol... :crook
it takes some time to make up the ten days that I played. on a farm the work never ends, just gets pushed aside once in a while.

I plan to get in touch with Jeff at the factory next week and get the lowdown on what, when and where. till then, just please have some patience and it will all come together soon.

In the mean time ya'll can get in touch with Linda at the Travel Desk phone # 360/629-4196 to make your reservations for the Motel(Hawthorn Suites) and any travel related needs .
Linda tells me that she has 32 rooms booked so far. I know there a lot of you that have signed up on the event signup list that havn't got rooms yet. come on you guys & Gals, remember , it is only a phone call away.

Hey Jeff!! We are up to about 20. I was going to put together a list on Monday after the weekend "surfing" had finished up. Thought some of the Alaska contingency would sign up or let me know...but none yet?

How about it Alaska?? The Seattle water aint frozen!!

OK ya'll
I have copied and will paste the info once again for any newcomers and all the other ones that havn't called Linda yet. yeah, thats right, you know who you are, it is real easy there. just pick up the phone and dial or even easier is to email her.

I am adding parts of the earlier info post from Linda here for you all to see again.

Studio suite (sleeps 4) $75.00 + tax per night
Townhouse suite (sleeps 6) $85.00+ tax per night

Free meeting room (all 3 spaces) Friday for 50 rooms reserved
Free meeting room (2 spaces like last year) for 30 rooms reserved.

They're only increasing the rooms $6.00 per night for next year--a much better price than anyone else booking by themselves. I think it's fair. I hope the group does too. They DO value and appreciate the C-Dory group--they said it's always a pleasure to have them at their hotel.

Have the group start calling me or e-mailing me with credit cards asap.

I would like a check for $10.00 per booking sent directly to my agency (to eliminate the confusion of running around collecting money at the function).

PS I'm also more than willing to book anyone's air/car for the function !
Thanks, Roger, for your help.
