Folks,

If you're coming to the Seattle Boat Show C-Brat gathering, Friday night, Saturday Night or both, sign up above at "Event Signups". We are making up some cool name tags that identify you as a C-Brat, include your boat name and model, your screen name and home port. Your badge will be in the trim color of your boat(s). Unless you want to remain incognito, sign up and e-mail or PM your full names to Dreamer.

Thanks, Roger

Was at the Exhibition Hall all day yesterday (Sunday, January 18) and have the boats in place. Good location and it's looking really good. Total of 8 boats there.

Now if we can get all the signage, paperwork, steps and lighting arranged and set up....

Can some kind C-friend answer a few questions for me. I cannot stay up in Seattle overnight but intend to go to the boat show and would like to attend the dinner on Friday (is that the big dinner?) and then I would be interested in driving to the factory for the tour on Sat.
Is this acceptable? What is the dinner set up and are there other costs related to the gathering?

Steve, the event on Friday night is a pot-luck thing at the hotel. It's a bring your own drinks and a dish to share kind of thing. The Factory bash on Saturday, if it's like past years starts around sixish or so at the factory which includes a buffet style dinner, some give aways and a tour, which can be taken any time since that's where the gathering is.

I'm sure Roger will chime in here with details, times etc but that's the way it's been the couple of times we've been there (including SBS08). Look forward to meeting you.

Charlie

Yeah, what Charlie said !!!!
the potluck friday night at the motel will get going somewhere close to 6 pm.
as far as fees, there is none. there will be a coffe can there to donate to the cause if you want. we just need to cover the costs . anything left over will be sent along with the person who is planning the next shindig . it worked well last season and several gathering started with some seed money for needs.
I am going to get the Liquer banquet license thursday for the weekend.paper products and the like also.
at least we won't have a big expense for the room at the motel. just a warning, it is a lot smaller than the room we had at the hawthorn .

I also need to figure out who will recieve the prize for comming the farthest.

Folks,

So far, the Widmann's (Jennykatz) from Naples Florida are the long distance leaders by about 300 miles over Charlie from Virginia. That's air miles but driving gets the same results. Florida is about as far as you can get from Seattle!

What's the Prize?

I have not found the perfect prize yet but it will definatly be something symbolizing the Great North West

Having won the greatest distance in the past, it was fun. SENSEI does a wonderful job of selecting and providing this prize.... So... I left TN, and FL... and went south east a bit more....to Marsh Harbor, Abacos, Bahamas to get back in the running for this prize...

But, as things turn out.... this will be the first year in several years I will not make the Seattle Boat Show gig with all my C-Brats.... but rest assured, another trip to the Stanwood/Oak Harbor area is in the work.

Yall have a blast as I am sure you will...and know I will be with yall in spirit!

You can say that again, Rogerbum. Sorry you can't make it, Byrdman, but I sure look forward to seeing all our other Brat Buds.

By the way, is there a prize for the shortest distance traveled? Like maybe a ruler, or a raised eyebrow.

I'll raise an eyebrow and buy a ruler for you but you've got to promise to show up. I know that I and many others have missed you around here.

Edna and I are like a couple of kids on Christmas eve. We won't sleep very well tonight because tomorrow we head west on I-90 to the boat show promised land. John

Just printed out the boarding passes, printed instructions for the dog caregiver and the cats feeder. We're on the way! Woo Hoo... :thup :thup :love
