01/23 - 01/25 - Seattle Boat Show/C-Brat Convention

Don't forget, no free tickets at the hotel folks. Order yours online and get free parking with the one day ticket. Looks like there is only one day of free parking even if you get a multiday pass.

Considering all the snow, rain, flooding, and possible diifficulties getting up I-5, (if this sort of thing continues), I've decided to fly into SeaTac rather than drive up.

Good luck to everyone in the meantime with the weather difficulties, and I hope you all have a safe trip!

See ya' all at the hotel on Tursday and Friday, etc.

We have a weeeener. Captains Cat pm'd me at 4:27 am followed by JennyKatz, 4 mins. later.

So what's the deal with you nocturnal Cat people. You hunting rodents? :)

Matt , How about the 25 I have seen a the Olympic Boat Center liquidation place in Fife? It looks like a new one , no motors or registration numbers. Not sure how they would end up with a new C-Dory in that mess, but bet you could get a "deal", a "deal" said with my tongue firmly set in cheek.

Jim that 25 is a 2007 or early 2008 that has been in Lake Union Sea Ray's inventory for some time. LUSR is handling the liquidation of the OBC inventory, and has moved some of their existing close out invetory (C-Dory and Harbercraft) over there as well.

The 2009 25C has had some upgrades to it, so we wouldn't want to pick up an "old" boat for our inventory.

However, if someone really wanted it, I'm sure we could help with the purchase and / or the outfitting of the boat.

Question:

I've been to several of these wonderful Boat Show / C-Brat Get Togethers in Seattle, but always at the other hotel.

I've driven up, flown, and taken the train, all for variety. Flying again this time. Going to try to avoid the unnecessary car rental hassle, too.

Are there any restaurants, markets, stores,or other services etc., nearby the Larkspur Landing Hotel?

See ya' in Seattle!

Joe, we'll have a car as will lots of others. The hotel has a shuttle to get to/from the airport. I'm sure we or others will be able to get you to wherever you want /need to go.

Joe,

I did a quick Google map search on restaurants near the hotel's address (1701 East Valley Road, Renton, WA 98055). If you plug this

restaurant loc: 1701 East Valley Road, Renton, WA 98055 (Larkspur Landing Renton)

into a google map search it will show you about a dozen restaurants w/i 1/2 mile. There's a cafe next to the hotel, but most restaurants are N of 405. I'm not familiar enough with the area to say how easy it is to walk around there, but I assume there's a way to walk under/over the freeway near there. Also, about .5mile NE is a shopping center.

Joe (and anybody) - we will of course have a car (live about 20 miles from the hotel but are staying there anyway). We'd be happy to take ride-alongs to/from SBS or the factory party with us, don't be bashful, you have to ask as we can't read minds...

We will also have a car there and be glad to transport any out of towners. I believe we have one rider already but be glad to add another or make an extra trip. Anything for a C-Brat.

for anyone interested, Ikea is only about .5 mile away from the motel. there are several restaurants close by. Not sure if in walking distance tho

If you want a really good Chinese Buffet try the King Buffet, 20 SW7th St. Renton. I think it's less than two miles from the Larkspur. Lots of good food and inexpensive.

Charlie, Pat, and Harvey-

Thanks for the offers of rides!

I'm sure there will be more than a few of us from out of town without rental cars, and things like that always work out.

I'd like to find a deli or something similar to purchase something to contribute to the Friday night party, thus the question.

Joe- about a mile down the road from the Larkspur there is "Jersey Mikes" @ 18119 E. Valley Highway (Kent). Although they are a franchise, they serve genuine Jersey Hoagies (subs) in various lengths. They slice the meat fresh for each sandwich, unlike other sub shops. In the past they piled the meat high, but with the recession and all, I don't know.........As I recall they were in a big office park and somewhat hard to find.
