A few years ago a lady at the factory in WA put me in touch with the place where C-Dory had ball caps made. I no longer have that contact info, but somebody at C-Dory could probably still refer you to a source. Also, there is usually somebody embroidering hats, shirts, etc at boat shows.

Dr. Bob, Thirty five years ago some of us were still using for its original purpose.

Practical Sailor just published part of an article on this. Bottom line, it works on trim tabs, transducers, etc. - anything that is not spinning or sliding on and off of a trailer.

Haven't been there by boat yet, but have often checked it out by car. Not many transient ports on OBX but Manteo and Ocracoke are interesting villages with marinas. Check out Wanchese and Hatteras Island, too. As you can see from the chart, lots of skinny water and shifting shoals down...

How many of these did C-Dory make? Every time I see mention of a C-Dory center console, I wonder what they were thinking - there are so many better alternatives in CCs: Mako, Aquasport, Boston Whaler, et al. The factory somehow got a sailboat dealer in Annapolis to take one a few years ago...

There are many C-Dories on the Bay. (See the Brat Map). I had a 22 out of Essex Maryland and Stafford VA for a season, and have operated a 25 out of Solomons, MD and Hampton VA for 7-8 years. They are safe but often uncomfortable in seas over 2ft, common all spring and often on summer...

We would definitely like to do this, schedule permitting. The former Lankford gathering was in June, and was awfully hot then, so July or August might be worse (but not a deal breaker). We'll stay tuned. P.S. We liked playing "whazoo" and eating large.
