Somebody tell me, please, that I don't have to remove the hot water heater in order to replace the 12V receptacle next to the AC panel

    Pets on board

Thank you all so much for your tips. This will help make our experience a good one. I will pack tuna, matt-unique! I do not think either of the cats will like engine noise - be it car or boat. After all, they think that if they are in the car they are going to the vet's office...never fun...

    Pets on board

Hi, This is Donna, Capt. Patrick’s wife. We are planning to live on our 25 ft C-Dory for 3 to 6 months in Florida with our dog (62#) and 2 of our cats (8# each and 10 years or older). Our dog is a true boater, but the cats are likely to SCREAM, er…MEOW loudly about the whole adventure. I am...

    Towell Rack

I used a two sided sticky putty like substance (can you see I don't remember the name of it} and just stuck the pt holder to it. That was 3 years ago and it hasn't fallen off yet. I also used it to hang a clock and have move it and it and the sticky stuff came right off. Patrick

Just turned on the anchor light - Valkyrie in the Keys!

I know what you mean about the concealed weapon. I thought a concealed weapon permit would end a lot of my problems but after getting one I found out I couldn't shoot as many people as I want too. DARN! Patrick

    bottom paint

How long do you think you can leave a 25CD in salt water without bottom paint? I really don't want to paint the bottom but I would like to cruise a month or so.

    Yikes!

Perhaps I should amplify what I reported here. It was just your plain everyday extension cord. I was not using a/c or water heater. I have no experiencing of any electrical problems such as sparking at the plugs while connecting to the boat. Or breaker popping. Just a 100 ft cord on a reel...

    Yikes!

I am probably the last person to learn this but I will put it out there anyway, just in case. I had a 100 ft extension cord on a reel hooked from the house power to the boat. I was only using about 25 feet of the cord. The rest was wound on the reel. Heat built up inside the reeled cord and...

Has anyone had any experience with this product? I am thinking of using it for some of the level areas (table top) in the cabin. http://www.cabinetrescue.com/ Tks Patrick

    gear Oil

As the sum total of gear oil changing in my manual for the Honda bf150 is "change gear oil". I have to ask this question. Do you use the standard 90 w gear oil or is there something else I should use? TIA Patrick

    Dumb question #35

Exactly where on a cd25 is the horn physically located? I can't find it. Is there just the one fuse located on panel at the wheel? Thanks again. Many more where this came from. P.S. SNAL, Remember, I know where you live.

KNOXVILLE TN LAUNCH RAMPS AND STORAGE AREA FOR TOW VEHICLE

I second that. When we returned two police cars where there and they were chit chatting. I felt like that was not the first time that happened. Patrick

    Bunk guide-ons

Marc Guide posts are great in ideal conditions. But I very often are not in ideal conditions. I live the the mountains of Western North Carolina and I trailer my boat a lot. It is over 400 miles to the nearest salt water. Over two hours to the Tennessee River, 1 1/2 hours to the lake. When...

    Honda 150 cutting out

I am in no way a mechanic but I can tell you that my son had a problem like that on a Johnson 115. To make a long story short, it turned out to the primer hand pump was causing all the trouble.
