    Boat Geeks additions!

How deep is your splash well filler? (Looks to be "two boards" deep?) Also curious how much weight it can support; can a person sit on it? Also, I'm assuming your engine can come up fully? Nice Job!

    C-Dory Sightings

I saw a C Ranger 21 at Dana Point harbor monday around 2:15. Windy day, nice looking (rare) boat.

    Electrical Questions....Generator Related

Looks like the bottom line is "yes". "max amps" means peak (read "very brief") output. "rated" means what it can generate continuously - till the gas runs out, anyway : ) 10 amps (demand) is less than 13.3 amps (supply), hence, it should work fine.

    @#*&Q&^*@ Anchor!

For us future CD owners, would you good folks consider doing a POLL on anchor types/brands/weights? Compelling stories in previous posts, but wondering how many have what anchor (and windlass too, I suppose). Sea Wolf Joe, you have very helpful and thorough posts. Thanks all!

    Daily Laugh

I think it has to do with the "finding" the number part. If you do this with your mouse, it knows the symbol. Try putting your mouse on a different number then your real number. It shows the mouse symbol.

    Trailer capacity; a cautionary tale

As a frequent skulker of this site (to get all learned-up, with the idea of a future purchase), I'd have to echo the questioning of the #4140 weight of the BOAT ONLY. Could this include the trailer?

    Bottom Paint Dilemma

John, Ever heard of this stuff? propspeed.com I read a good article about it recently. Could help the tug's submerged metals (prop, shaft, rudder, etc)?

    Another Battery Question... Help!

Also consider a small solar panel to maintain unattended batteries, instead of shore power, or if shore power is unavailable.

    Cockpit seating ideas

Gathering ideas for my future boat... Any thoughts on putting a bench seat IN the motorwell? I've thought about it and if it wouldn't be too high, and if the back were removable to make room for engine-up, it could be a good use of space. Possibly a bit of storage under, and would be an...

    Generator Question

No problem, Joe! I love useful inexpensive stuff! I'd like to wind up with a 22 cruiser. The 16 is too smal for mel, and the 25 is more complex (head/shower, mostly) and heavier for towing than I'd like. I like things simple, efficient, and I like camping, which matches the 22 most...

    Generator Question

Lots of good info! I'm a self employed electrician and future cd owner (I hope!) and I thought I'd chime in briefly. First, it has been my experience that GFCI, or GFI (ground fault circuit interrupter)s are extremely sensitive, meaning they will "trip" (not let electricity through) very easily...

    LED interior and nav lights

Steve, Agreed, cetsolar is a pain in the rear to search/navigate. Go about half way down main page to "12volt dc led fixtures" (just above flashlights) with several bulleted parts, including "cieling fitures," then go to the bottom of that page. Going to double-check after this : )

    LED interior and nav lights

Never bought from either, but try theledlight.com (the"nova"light lokks interesting to me) and cetsolar.com (led, cold cathode flourescent, and a cool solar/battery vent). All this stuff ain't cheap, but I'm an electrician and I like the idea of stuff (leds) never(in a human lifetime,anyway)...

    The Duck has landed

Cdancer, Given that you are going to a 90 from a 70, I was wondering if you you thought the Suzi 70 was sufficient power or not for a 22? It is light, but less displacement than other brand 70s. thanks, future cd owner
