    Sunbathing?

I've done it down in Arizona, it's amazing. This giant bright disc glows in the sky and heats your skin until it's crispy like bacon. it's a totally different type of cloud than we are used to here in WA.

    Sunbathing?

Now that I think about it, I think I jumped off mine into Lake Sammamish as well, lol. my fiance is a smaller woman so it wouldn't likely be an issue after all.

    Sunbathing?

Right on! Yeah the thing about a C-Dory is nothing else really compares in this state. Having the 'living' space above the water line, the fuel economy, the light weight. These things are just super in-demand for me. As far as sunbathing goes, my fiance grew up basically from boating...

    Sunbathing?

any idea what the safe weight capacity is for the roof? I always wondered about that when I had my old boat but never wanted to risk it.

    Major Maintenance Milestones

you have a keen eye! thanks Jay! part of me anticipates being on the water more with my next boat than I was with my previous one. Hard to believe because I spent a LOT of time on that boat. a LOT. But, we lived over an hour away from water... now I live in Gig Harbor, 5 minutes from the...

    Lake Chelan: Updates for 2019-2020

Some of my best C-Dory memories are fishing and exploring Chelan but it's been 5-6 or so years I believe now. Watch for afternoon wind as mentioned, and watch for LOGS. Can be tempting to open it up when the water is smooth but there can be a lot of sudden logs to dodge.

    Reality Check, Good deal?

as long as the needed work isn't catastrophic it sure sounds like a good deal! Good luck!

    Sunbathing?

When I had my C-Dory in the past there was discussion of hammocks and whatnot. As we start shopping again this question is coming up so I thought I'd ask the group... What sunbathing setups are you guys running on your 22's? Did anyone successfully rig up a hammock? Maybe aft lounge / wrap...

    Major Maintenance Milestones

Can anyone sorta tell a rough idea of what/when to expect major milestones on smaller OB's? I see T-Sim has about 1200hrs on his twin 40 Hondas and I'm just curious what to expect around 1500, and then of course 2,000 hours. http://www.c-brats.com/viewtopic.php?p=340321#340321

    Reality Check, Good deal?

When do you get the survey information? Based on your thread it sounds like you're comfortable with a $35k boat and that you have found the motor to be in great shape. If that's the case then a $20k purchase price leaves you with $15k for repairs and upgrades. I hope the survey comes back...

    Canvas camper back

I noticed most of the camperback threads are quite old and prices are dated. Since I am budgeting again for a new boat I have updated pricing from King Marine in Seattle at $3048 for a 22' Cruiser. https://www.kingmarinecanvas.com/cdoryboats.html It's one thing that I never did on my old...

Observations on my non C-Dory Trawler

The 25 really does seem like the perfect all around solution for so many different purposes. I'd love to get another 22, but I think the 25 just has that little extra that we need (like the head).

    Should I Get a C-Dory?

Oh yes, spent many, many nights on that boat! Great machine. Caught mackinaws on Chelan and cooked them right there on the boat while we were still fishing for more.

Observations on my non C-Dory Trawler

What an interesting post, I see a lot of very cool features on these boats that are appealing, but in the end the thing that always draws me back to the c-dory (aside from weight) is the living space above water. Nothing better to me than being in the warm cabin above the water line on a...

    Should I Get a C-Dory?

oh yeah and I wont' do single axle trailer. was towing dad's Lund 22 fisherman up to Lake Washington one day many years ago when we blew a tire on 167 during morning rush hour. Having that tandem axle able to safely limp off the highway was very very nice. I like redundancy because things will...

    Should I Get a C-Dory?

You're close to my old stomping grounds (Enumclaw), I'm in Gig Harbor now. When I had C-Miner we towed that boat (22') all over Washington with a 2005 Jeep Cherokee with Hemi and had zero zero zero issues. at any speed. I took it to the san juans many times, as well as multiple trips over the...
