    fishing halibut last weekend

Octopus is one of the best baits for Hali's. Stays on the hook forever and tough as a rubber tire. Great wavy action in the water.

    anyone ever use this system?

We've anchored with the buoy ring system hundreds of times for halibut fishing when we lived in Alaska. We didn't use a pulley, just the ring and buoy. It is simple, safe, and effortless. You have to pay attention no matter how you anchor. To retrieve, we simply drove forward keeping the line...

    C-Dory Sightings

There is a 22 docked roadside at boat haven in PA, That is Current Affair. It's always in that spot this time of year. I left one of our cards on the window a couple years ago, no response. Rick

    Bagpipes

If you love Celtic music, BFB is a must see. No offense, but they are a totally different class of talent than Gaelic Storm (just about the only Celtic band I don't like). Donna and I are traditional Celtic music fanatics and we've been fortunate to see a ton of great artists over the years...

    Bagpipes

Yes, the pipes can be somber, emotional, and very moving...but they can also be upbeat, inspiring, and fun. It just depends on the tune. That's why I love them.

I hate foot ball and the sea hawks.

Yeah, Tom, I hate sports in general, and all the hoopla that goes with it. You can't even tell the employees from the customers in the stores here, they're all in football shirts. Heaven help ya if you need to ask a question or help finding an item. The other thing is that if Seattle wins...

    Sequim

This area was at the top of our list of places to retire from the military, which I did a couple months ago. There are over 20,000 veterans in Clallam County. We've been here 3 years and there's really not much not to like, politics aside. If you have to have shopping malls and city life...

C-Dory adventure book for sale cheeep.

I wasn't offended, but I would have been had I been the guy sitting there beside him helping make his journey possible. I just found the author snobby and arrogant, that's all. Pat is right, you need a dictionary beside you when you try to read the book. I got tired of looking up every other word.

C-Dory adventure book for sale cheeep.

I'm with Pat on this one. Two thumbs down! I struggled through a couple of chapters and that was more than enough for me. I found it especially insulting that he never even had the common courtesy (or maybe he was simply arrogant) to give his companion's name, just some stupid nickname...

Maiden Voyage - Skyline Marina Anacortes

Very nice, guys! Shame we've been here 3 1/2 years and we never made it over to the SJI's. Looks like you had enough fun for all of us! All the best, Rick & Donna

    Thanks to this site

Welcome! I always suggest people sit down and make a "master to-do list" for EVERYTHING you'd like to do to the boat before you start drilling holes and mounting stuff. That way one project doesn't interfere with another one later on down the road. Enjoy! Rick
