    3 step swim ladder conversion

We replaced the 2 step with a 3 step. Just replaced the ladder itself, the existing bracket worked fine. It's a Garelick. Way easier to get aboard. Rick

    Picking her up tomorrow

One of my favorite quotes sums it up: "Every time I push away from the dock, it's a good day." Flip Pallot I agree...the good feelings never go away. Welcome to the club. Rick

    1981 22' Angler $13,900 (Sequim, WA)

I saw this boat at a local canvas shop a couple weeks ago and the owner wants to put it up for sale here but is having trouble with the registration process. He emailed me the info so I could post it for him. I have no connection with this boat but would be happy to check it out in detail for...

Obituary of Member Marvin B Murphy III

I never met Marvin, but like so many others here, I remember the knowledge he shared with us and the love of our boats. Remember the fun times and try to keep your chin up. Rick

First fishing trip for Natural C-lection

Hello from across the strait! Glad you had a great time. We got our first silver of the year a couple days ago, too. Aren't the CD's a great boat? Rick

    Cdory fishability

Jake, our fish bag is about 64" wide and 28" high. No kings today, but we picked up our first silver of the year this morning at the Winter Hole. They're starting to show up. Rick

    Cdory fishability

Jake, it's the biggest one they make. It's on the boat at the slip right now so I'll measure it for you tomorrow. We got it from Bass Pro. It's really practical because it's easily cleaned and can double as your cooler for food when not fishing. Takes up no space on the deck. I had longer straps...

    Cdory fishability

This is the solution to the question of where to put the fish. Works super!

    Cdory fishability

Welcome! Now that we've moved out of the south to retire here in the PNW, we don't overnight anymore, all we do on the boat is fish. Throw on some downriggers and have at it. The 22 trolls well for salmon and is very stable for bottom fishing. Like Tom said, you're going to be fishing 3 people...

    v-berth middle section length

When I did our bed extension 5 years ago, I never dreamed someone would call it an orgy board. I like it! Seriously, though, it really does make a huge difference in comfort. One of the best mods you can do especially if you're tall like me. The soffit is a super idea, George!

    Major Kenyon Kiss malfunction

Personally I'd fill the hole to get your counter space back and use the butane stove. They work great and when they quit working they're cheap to replace. We just bought a new one for about 20 bucks. Rick

Halibut fishing in the Northwest near Seattle.

This year's halibut season here in Port Angeles was pretty much a non-event. Five indian tribes had a 13 hour longline "season" the DAY BEFORE our recreational season started. Yep, the day before. As a result, success rate on halibut for us regular Joes was a paltry 17%, according to WDFG...

Peace arch border crossing - height issues?

I never paid much attention to the height issue, but we use the commercial crossing at Blaine most of the time anyway because it isn't as busy. Donna just went up last week, though, and said they are doing construction at Blaine and the lanes are narrow and winding so Peace Arch would probably...

    Opinions on widening V-berth opening

The best mod we've ever done. Makes getting in and out of the berth much easier and increases airflow. I used a dremel, but if I were to do it again I think I'd use a jigsaw. It probably would be faster and less messy. Also, I would leave a few inches of the original bulkhead for support instead...
