New Orleans and Katrina - Cause and Effect

Quite eloquantly stated Mike... that is where I am. As I see it, this is but another way to keep oneself informed as to the thoughts and senses of other persons. I would think that those who wish to not discuss these matters might simply choose to no read this thread. Meanwhile, here is...

New Orleans and Katrina - Cause and Effect

Reference Bill's geological note... I can validate much of what Bill stated. My work deals directly with several of the areas Bill mentions. I have lived in Sacramento and now reside near, but not directly on, the Salt Lake City fault line. Here in Utah, because of the mountains and their...

I have grease AND glue questions and didn't know where to ask them... so here goes: What grease do you...

Here I been trekking through the labyrinth of the net for hours... can't find anything definitive that will satisfy... My CD has a Lowrance LMS 335cDF fish finder/GPS... but when I got her I did not receive any software (CDROM) for the unit. The unit finds fish just fine and if I were in...

    Compass Location?

The compass on Topkick is mounted right in front of the steering wheel... I have noticed that the electronics cause quite a bit of deviation... I plan to move the compass soon but I haven't yet decided on a good location.

    Air Conditioning

at RV Camping World you can get an all metal fan for about $25.00... then go to Wally World for a stainless steal bowl. Fill the bowl with ice, mount it in front of the fan, place the on/off actuator in the on position... should run off a good battery for a week or so. Oh, don't forget to take...

Best jury rig story that got you home

Actually I have always used safety chains... That part of the story and the lesson learned is to pay close attention to completing the task at hand and don't let the spouse (or anyone else) divert your attention in the midst of hooking up your trailer. As for the fact that it could have been...

Best jury rig story that got you home

This doesn't really fit the subject since I was headed out, not home... but then it also doesn't fit elsewhere. On a recent trip to Lake Powell, I left home having forgot to put the pin in the hitch stinger of my motorhome. A friend was following as we were traveling together. We drove about...
