    A Dealer's Perspective- Trade Ins

Hello Charlie, This is an example of "securitization." Securitization, in its most basic form, is a method of financing assets. Rather than selling those assets "whole," the assets are combined into a pool, and then that pool is split into shares. Those shares are sold to investors who share...

    c-dory warrenties worthless?

Hello Bill & Chris Carli, Lack or loss of manufacturer's warranty on boats, cars, trucks, & other big ticket items is a common occurrence in today's economic world. My thoughts: (1) Buy a quality product from the start. That way, when the company is sold or fails and your "warranty" is...

    Hello

Hello Chanley & Kim, I would encourage you to look seriously at the Ventures on the dealers' lots. Although they may not be '09 model year boats, you are not likely to locate any with a factory warranty. This is due to the recent sale of Fluid Marine to Seasport; Seasport probably hasn't...

    Untimate Generator Platform

Hello Dave, That is a very nice generator pedestal. GOOD JOB! I have a question about operation of the genset whilst underway. Are you ever concerned about the salt spray getting into the front panel of the genset? You know, the part where the outlets & switches face seems to be right where...

Motor diagnosis - on the fly...

Hello Jim, When something similar happened to me recently, it turned out to be a fuel pickup tube cut at 90 degrees and stuck to the bottom of the fuel tank. I could only make 2000 rpm before she would shudder/sputter and try to stall. Notably, the fuel primer bulb would stay flat after 2...

    GPS Size

hello Gary, I've got one of the Garmin 8.4" screens in my boat and it works fine size-wise. I think a 10 would work fine also. If you want to keep a lower profile and believe in redundancy, they put two 8.4" side by side. Yeah...that's the ticket  /david

    Throw Cusion Mount

Yes indeed, Warren! Those rocks would the the southeast side of the jetty at Bob Sikes Cut. And the gulf front homes in the background are in the very nice/exclusive 'Plantation' community (where I DON'T live) on SGI. It's such a beautiful place for boating with the Gulf, Apalachicola Bay...

Fuel Pick Up - LONG story

Hello Ed, I've just read the thread you reference....do you have any photos of the fuel pickup set-up to which you switched? I wonder if installing a shorter length of softer (more flexible) fuel pick up hose with the 'L' bent piece of copper or aluminum tubing friction fitted into the distal...
