    Sliding under sink drawers

I just used two spring loaded cabinet catches. The type that has two small rollers on one part and the small flared part that pops inbetween the roller part. Tried to add a picture, but it didn't work. I put one on each corner of the door with the other part on the backside of the kick plate.

    Guest 2610A Charger

I have a digital voltage display that I wired in and mounted over the helm window. That is how I noticed it. I am looking at suggested replacements that are $300-$400. A new Guest is $118 shipped. MMMMMMMMMM. It did last 8 years, a 1/2 year longer than the fuel tank.

    Guest 2610A Charger

Thanks Bob, Will this be pretty much a straight swap? Looks like you only have to cut the 120V power cord and connect to the existing 120V wires. There doesn't appear to be a third green ground on the Mastervolt. Does it need to be grounded with the green ground?

    Guest 2610A Charger

My charger on the 25 seems to be DOA. I have 120V coming into the unit, but no green or red indicator lamps. House batteries where down to 12.2 which is what caught my eye. What would be a good replacement that would fit in the same space next to the water heater? This is charging two AGMs...

Fire extinguisher on a 16 cruiser

USCG only recommends that fire extinguishers be mounted. it is not a requirement. Although it is strongly recommended that they be mounted. There is no requirement that it/they be mounted within any distance from the helm. The requirement states that the fire extinauisher be readily...

    I-5 bridge collapse.

The best detour is the route we always take from the south coming and going from Anacortes. I will be taking it this morning for a trip to the brewery in Snoqualmie. You will want to take the Exit 221 at Conway head west over I-5 and the first right taking you through Conway and over Fir...

    05/18 - 05/19 - Friday Harbor Gathering

Martha and Mitch, You pretty well summed up what the C-Brat community is all about. Sharing our experiences and love of our boats with others that think they want to be one of us. So glad we could meet you and take you out on your "preferred" C-Dory. Didn't think to have you take the helm on...

    Cabin size

Mitch, When you are in Anacortes give me a call. I live on Guemes Island which is about a mile from Anacortes. I would be happy to show you the 25. I have removed the port side of the bulkhead between the cuddy and the cabin. You can see pics on my album.

    Lewmar V700 windlass installation

When I called the factory they were unaware that the wires/magnetice counter were no longer being installed in the unit They have sent me one of the shelf that I can "pop" in to the recess slot at the bottom of the gypsy on the underside.

    25 Cruiser rode locker capacity

I have the 600 with 30 of chain and about 280 of 3 ply rode. I could probably fit another 50' on top of that, but it would be prety well up to the bottom of the windlass without going up and re distributing it'

Lets keep track of Good and Bad Customer Service

Like many before memy factory installed Lewmar 600 gave up the ghost last week. I removed it and found a lot of moisture in the motor, corrosion etc. One of the brushes was corroded in a non contact position. it was pretty much a mess in there. I bought a new V700 which according to the...

    Lewmar V700 windlass installation

My 8 Y/O original Lewmar 600 died last week so today I completed the removal and reinstall of a new 700V. Went pretty straight forward using the original toggle two way switch and original 35 Amp breaker which were factory installed. Only had to do a little additional cutting of the deck hole...
