Starting from Scratch on a CD 16

As far as I recall, there is no stern drag issue on an angler, That balance discussion related only to the cruiser model. Leave the batteries where they are. As for adding a seat, I built at box with a padded cover over the portapotti Some years ago I bought an angler in similar condition to...

    Limits of a C -Dory 16

..and regarding flat bottom vessels, As a hospital corpsman I was transferred to the Seabees in '57. During a winter storm in January we rode an LST from Davisville Rhode Island to Grand Turk Island in the British West Indies. Anyway, all those ships are now razorblades and we're still here to...

    Limits of a C -Dory 16

This discussion reminded me that many years ago I crossed the Atlantic on a heavy cruiser, the USS Albany. Next to us, on our starboard, was the battleship Wisconsin. We were followed by two destroyers, the Vogelsang and one other, and two tankers, the Caloosahatche and the Allagash. On Sunday...

Forward Bulk Head 2004 16’ Angler

Well, I didn't anchor much, but you are right about the wet rode. As to the windless, mine was seldom used so I had a sunbrella cover made for it. Lastly, I see no need for a rug in the cabin. It's bound to get moldy on a 16. Just my thoughts.

Adding additional pedestal seat to 2004 16’ Angler

Hi Brad- There must be holes in the portside deck where the original pedestal was. You can remove one of the screws from the helm pedestal to get the proper size. Welcome to the C-Brats. You have a great little boat there.

    C-Dory 16 Angler Purchase Advice

I do understand that you want to keep the boat in the water year round. For me, one of the advantages of the 16 is it's easy trailerability. (is that a word?) as well as launching and retrieving. Granted, it's an added cost, but there is usually storage available at the marina or close to it...

    Deadhead

Once, going through the Hiram Chittenden locks we tied up to a Corps of Engineers boat whose job was to pick up flotsam. It was equipped with a crane for the big stuff. I wonder how you can contact them if you come across a log.

    C-Dory 16 Cruiser first trip - IMPRESSED

I would recommend getting an electric wiper for the helm side windshield.. Otherwise, on the cruiser, you will be jumping up every time you have to use the manual wiper.

    Boarding Steps

west marine and others have these garelik steps somewhat less expensive. https://www.westmarine.com/garelick-coc ... 2_007.html Get an extra set of brackets so you can move it to the other side too. We had these on our boats and really like them.
