    Puget Sound Loop Choices

This year I plan to cruise Puget Sound and looking for information. I read a few other newer threads, but this one seemed to have the most information, so I'm resurrecting it. I know the thread is 18 years old, so I'm sure a few things have changed. I copied down the nightly stops the OP...

It is one of the longer rivers, and also known for it's direction of flow. Don't worry too much about the gators. They are more afraid of you. Well, usually... There are three charts that cover the St. John's. You might pull into Hontoon while you are there early to see if the...

    Sport Trail order

The heavier duty trailer is a good choice. Especially if you are going to do a lot of trailering. My 25 and trailer, combined, weigh up to 8,400 lbs. That's with fuel, water, supplies, etc. My empty trailer weighes 1,640 lbs. When I tow my boat without fuel or water aboard, and nothing...

It’s dark, except in the springs where it can be crystal clear. No tide at Hontoon and very little current. That changes as you get closer to Jacksonville and the water becomes more brackish. I don’t, but know of at least one couple that did and would catch some nice bass.

    Bathroom

On our 22, we simply stored the porta potti under the V-Berth during the day. If it had to be used, just moved the cushion above it. At night, we would just put it in front of the cabin door. (We had curtains on the windows that we closed at night. That doesn't offer privacy per se for those...

    Shipping

My 22 on it's tandem axle aluminum trailer weighed 5200 lbs. I believe that was with 40 gal fuel, 20 gal water, and normal stores. Most folks that weigh their 22's at scales seem to come in around just shy of 5000 lbs. I can't remember what the trailer it self weighed. My new trailer (tandem...

    Shipping

For a 22 on a trailer, around 5000 lbs, give or take 500 lbs. Actually, unless it was fully loaded with fuel, water, etc, you're probably looking around 4500-4800 lbs. Colby

    Trailer Sellection

We did week or longer trips on the pontoon. I still remember anchored against a beach on the Mississippi River with tornado warnings around us, and the wind first howling one way (off shore) and then later the other. I remember looking up at the tall trees and trying to figure if they fell...

    Trailer Sellection

Hey Don, My first boat was a pontoon. I also had very young children at the time. It was a lot of fun on the local lakes and rivers. I had a full enclosure made for it, so it was like a soft top house boat. Even had a porta potty that fit under the seat. Was a great platform for cruising...

    Trailer Sellection

First off, consider how much finances you'll have wrapped up in your boat, and then consider the trailer is where your boat will live when not in use, or be transported on. I see so many folks with $50K+ boats, that want to put $2K trailers under them. That's fine for yard work, maybe...

    Fuel Selector Valve Label

Hey Shad, If you are going to be at the Friday Harbor event, and don't mind printing out and bring one for me, I'd like to have one. That is assuming it would be easy to change the words a bit. My valve looks like the one you posted, but positions are different. Using clock positions, 12:00...
