To hold something is placed tell the glue dries I've used hot glue.

    Anchor rode marking

Agree 100% except I like to have a (warning the anchor is close) mark on the chain about 4 feet from the anchor. I use red liquid electrical tape, lasts about two years. At 75lbs per 100' pulling in 1/4" chain would definitely build some serious upper body strength.

    Autopilot TC255 Needed?

My TR-1 Gladiator has what is called shadow drive, this allows me to grab the wheel and override the AP at any time, when I let go of the Wheel it goes back on course. As soon as I round the brake water the AP is engaged, love it!

Motor running, water hose not on - Stupid is ----

After you install a new water pump kit and see a good piss streem run the carbs dry, pull the bowl plugs to drain remaining gas and tuck er in tell spring. In my view running the motor every few weeks does nothing for longevity.

    25 Cruiser questions

One of the former owns must had hammered this boat because the seams at the bottom on both sides of the helm bulkhead broke away across the bottom and up the side, on the port side this continued up into the V-birth about 2 feet. When I bought the boat I didn’t know what to look for, discovered...

Is my 22 cruiser cabin top cored?

You could use an offset bracket attached using the bolts that hold on the top rails, I did something simular on my 25 you can see it in my album under man cave. Aluminum flat stock would work nicely it's easy to work with, and a little imagination.

    Great Harbor TT35

One other thing to keep in mind with respect to the weight difference, the Great Harbor N and GH hulls are solid fiberglass below the water line, not cored. The 37 and 47 also have close to a 16' beam. To to be able to pull a 35ft boat with a 1/2 ton truck would be amazing.

    Great Harbor TT35

Leading-edge composite materials seems to be how they are able to build such a lightweight hull. I filled out the survey to get a design team t-shirts. Hay, LOA of 35' that's able to make 20 knots with twins 60 horse outboards; all I can say is more power to them. This could be a game changer...

    Cabin Shelving

One why to attach shelves or simular is use 3m 5200 held in place with hot glue tell it cures. I have teak selves above the gallery in my 25 done that way. Problem is once attached it's literally impossible to remove.

    outside bulkhead seat for 22

Anything would be preferable to sitting on the gunnels, which is usually where my Derrière ends up when I get tired of standing. I also like the fact that it folds up and you don't need to remove anything , it's all right there when you need it. I don't have much room in the boat for...

    Do Rocna Anchors self launch

Our anchor will not self launch either so the first time we set I open the front middle window and push the anchor off with an extended boat hook (plke pole), works fine. Then when we pull anchor I stop when the anchor is tilting forward a bit, then it will self deploy next time. Some here...

    My mid-winter adventure...

Classy looking combo, the tow should be a piece of cake. With a new tow I like to try a hard brake in a place with room and no traffic. Nice to know your limits and how the tow handles before something unexpectedly happens. Towed both my 22 and 25 from Seattle to Anchorage Alaska, about...

    2008 22 cruser

We made the crossing from Whittier to Cordova this Summer, hit Baja tacos for lunch; wow. Crazy traffic in the harbor, day before an opener. Was able to snag a slip in front of the harber masters and rent a car delivered to us at Baja Tacos. Love the smell town atmosphere, just left the...

    Windlass 700 Pro Fish puzzle

Ok, now I get it. The 8 sided notch on the Pro Fish takes the 1/2" socket wrench, have never used it, my mistake.

    New C-Dory owners

Pepe+ Alaska's not for everyone, that's why I have a Wallas stove and furnace on the boat, if air conditioning becomes necessary here we are all in trouble. Not that familiar with Marine air conditioning units but if they require water I would think that either deionized or distilled water...

    New C-Dory owners

07, a very good year. Congratulations!!! Both my C-dorys were 07s, no major complaints. Have done lots of mods many documented in my album. Others here have done tons of mods also, what a great resource. Look forward to hearing about your adventures.

    Windlass 700 Pro Fish puzzle

If your using a 1/2" socket wrench to turn the clutch than you don't have the Pro Fish option. If however I'm wrong, regardless of how the windless performs I would recommend performing the maintanace deminstrated on this YouTube video, it's specifically for the Pro Fish...

    01/29 - 01/31 - Seattle Boat Show 2016

Harvey I have always wanted to do the Seattle boat show, who better to share good times with then the person who basically introduced me to my first c-dory. Unfortunately it won't be this year perhaps 2017 with one caveat, it's best I sleep on the left side of the bed so I don't snore in your...
