    C-Brat "Bucket List"

Joe: Any predictions as to the type of fuel in fifty years? My Shortlist: Cruise the John Day River at least once this winter with snow on the ground. Get up to the lakes around Mt. Hood next summer for crawdad fishing! Not real lofty but, I think I can get it done.

    Mustang suit and heater

I don't think so. The way the description reads, the air duct (tube) is sealed from the burner. Inlet and outlet would be inside the cabin. Burner would be outside the cabin with fresh air circulating around it. I suppose the risk would be if the cabin created a vacuum while underway. I went to...

    if you didn't know

I should have mentioned, just for effect, that the birthday he spent in the hospital was his first birthday. Don't know if it is coincidence or not but, four years later he is the biggest dare devil we have on our place. Kind of like he has stared death in it's face and there is nothing left for...

    if you didn't know

Localboy, My boys are the coolest and most fun people I know. It's easy to do it (so far) at my age because they make it rewarding. It's a responsibility and a blessing at the same time. We had an eye opener with our youngest when he was young. Diagnosed with a coarctation of the aorta, eight...

    Mustang suit and heater

Stardust, Hope you get some good suggestions, I have been trying to figure out if there is a practical way to heat a 16C as well. Would like to find a small, reasonably priced propane heater that vents to the outside to keep the moisture out.

    if you didn't know

Pat I applaud your' spirit. I'm 44 and already have more aches and pains than I want to admit. I believe we all have to make a concious decision to age in the most healthfull way we can. Why live long if you can't live "good and long"? My boys are 5 & 6 right now, that is my inspiration. I would...

    Dri-Deck

Thank you to you all, for sharing your' first hand experiences. We definately get our share of hot weather in the summer here. I'am thinking I will give it a try unless something new pops up. Big Dave: I sent you a PM. Would like to see if we can make a deal.

    Dri-Deck

Thinking about installing Dri-Deck in cockpit and center aisle of 16 Cruiser for impact protection and drier feet when fishing, swimming, etc. I figure I can buy it for $125.00 plus shipping from the factory. Would like to hear from those C-brats who are, or have, used this product. Also...

How to price a 22' Cruiser

Nesibus, Although you can buy a "Sows Ear" at a low price, it does not take away from the greater value of the "Silk Purse". If you see the C-dory as just any boat with the addition of a hard top, end your' frustration and look at some other boat. It seems that you EXPECT to be offered one at...

    Need Help with trailer lights.

Check to see if the tail light wire has a good connection on your vehicle plug, tight and free of corrosion. Make sure the pin for that circuit is clean on the vehicle side.

Loss of balance - what's the problem?

I agree. With trim tabs and a hydrofoil it would not be too hard to over trim. With the bow trimmed too far down and the stern feeling light, a clockwise turning prop will want to pivot the boat clockwise around the bow. Can happen quickly and make it almost impossible to turn the other...

Sorry my computer skills kept me from "making it easy", but I told you it was worth a look! I can't believe that skinny rope did not break. Thank you Sea Wolf for your assistance.

    New Front Trailer Hitch

A variation of what you are discussing here: if you have a tractor with a front end loader on it. I used 1/2" plate to make a 2' extension that bolts through the bucket and put a ball on it, it will also convert to accept a fifth wheel RV hitch. Some advantages: excellent visibility, tight...

    flush fitting

My 2009 Honda 50 EFI has a port on the lower end for a hose adapter. I asked my dealer about it as it did not come with the adaptor, but it was shown in the owners' manual. Sportcraft Marine told me the order of preference for flushing went like this: First- A Bucket, Second- Muffs. Last- Hose...

    Columbia River Gorge

Roger & Mary Jo, I've lived in North Central Oregon on the Columbia River for 41 of my 44 years. IMHO, every one of these suggestions are very much worth doing. You can also add a rafting trip on the Deschutes River at Maupin or a charter fishing trip out of Rufus with Fly By Night Guide...

    My Apologies: Props Again

It did seem to porpoise quite a bit until we added the Permatrim. Also, I believe ours was one of, if not the first 16C the dealer had rigged with a fuel injected Honda 50.
