I want to buy new propellers for my 22 cruiser. I just repowered with new twin Honda 40’s. I put my old props on the new engines. They are aluminum 3 blade 12/12s. What are other people using for props?
Thanks.

I have twin Honda 40’s on my 2006 C Dory transom. The port engine just started giving me trouble when I lift it out of the water. It makes a grinding kind of noise and only comes half-way up. I’m wondering if there’s a place to add hydraulic oil to each lifter ram. The starboard side works...
My wife Vivian and I are heading to Friday Harbor tomorrow from Port Townsend in Salish C. Deep Zoom says the best time to transit Cattle Pass is late afternoon. Anyone have better information? I’m still learning to use Ports and Passes, so Deep Zoom is my go-to resource. This our second summer...

I want Salish C to look her best for the C-Dory get together in Friday Harbor next month. SC is a 2006 22’ cruiser and her gel coat is looking tired. I’ve tried a few commercial polishes applied by hand and the results have been disappointing. Any suggestions for product and buffer tools...
I’m planning to install permatrim tabs to my twin Honda 40 outboards soon, I’d like to hear how people who have them like them and more to the point, if you installed them did you bolt them on or use a marine adhesive.
Thanks, Tom
Don’t count on seeing a C-Dory at the Seattle boat show. There weren’t any last year. I called Northwest Marine Industries (nmiboats.com) in Bellingham, who directed me to their biggest local dealer in Mt. Vernon. The response: not enough inventory to supply the demand, and a wait list over a...
We use a 5 gallon bucket with a seat & lid. It fits in the well between the gas tanks. It’s actually too big, but I don’t like porta potties because they’re too small.
My C-Dory is a 22. Any info on new rams would be helpful. I called NW Marine Industries, the builder of C-Dorys in Bellingham and talked to someone in Parts. He told me that a lot of people converted their hydraulic rams to electric and recommended I do the same. Anyone have any experience doing...
Because of a dumb mistake launching my C-Dory I broke both trim tab hydraulic rams off the stern of the boat. Fortunately it was a clean break, so I just need to replace them. Where do I find those? Anyone had to buy a new set of rams before? Thanks, Tom
Thanks, Harvey. Yes, that makes sense. Now I have to figure out how to wire that pump directly to the battery. Presently it only comes on when I switch it on, and continues running even after the bilge is dry, only turning off when I switch it off.
I have two bilge pumps on my 2006 22’ cruiser. One is located far aft between the fuel tanks, one amidships just under the cabin door threshold. The aft pump comes on automatically as it should when rainwater fills the cockpit. My problem is that it comes on late. My boat’s in the water at Port...
Thanks, everyone. I’ll call Scan Marine with the model #. It’s working like a charm now, but the starboard engine has to running for it to start up. I’m guessing the alternator gives the electrical system an extra boost to get it started. I’ve heard there’s a real problem if I let the...
Another place for a short handle, just hand-sized, is on the port engine cover. It’s a place to hang onto when climbing into the well from the swim platform.
I bet this has been discussed before but either I didn’t see it or don’t remember seeing it. So here it is: my new to me C-Dory came with about a gallon reservoir under tje sink. I think it’s kerosene because of its color and smell. It’s now less than half-full and I’m wondering what fuel I...
