    Cockpit storage

I have the older 22 Cruiser model without gunnel coaming storage shelf. I'm interested in any mods people have done to emulate or create that storage. Thanks.

    1988 Cruiser Bilge Setup

Thanks for the link Sunbeam. I somehow missed that one. So, sounds like 88s had low point at cabin bulkead instead of stern. I sometimes get so much water (I suspect that after heavy snowfall, water gets in and around cockpit cover. Don't know how else so much water accumulates) that I think a...

    1988 Cruiser Bilge Setup

When I bought my 1988 Cruiser from previous owner, it had an RV shower type pump mounted under galley with a remote pick up sitting on cockpit floor aft of starboard aft cabin bulkhead. No other bilge pump. Would like to know what the factory bilge pump setup was in the early Cruisers. I would...

    Bulkead leak

Thanks so much for your post and pics Sunbeam. Yes my bulkhead is similar and does have the drainhole plug under door. Using FG tape and resin makes sense and doable. Will get to it this Spring. Thanks again.

    Bulkead leak

Every time my cockpit accumulates water (rain), I get intrusion into cabin (a lot) thru door bulkead seam. There is a hairline crack there which I have sealed with heavy beads of 4200/5200 to no avail. What will it take for more permanent repair?

    Door Wood Grain

Thanks Joe. Yes only doing outside. Inner is fine. I do plan to remove the window trim to get cleaner fit. I also tried painting w epoxy and didn't like result. Color matching issues, etc. Also found a NAPA product called Sil-Glyde which does wonders restoring the black on door window...

Yeah $2500 to bottom paint every 2 years?. I do it myself just fine.

Marine paint that matches C-Dory exterior "white"?

How about bottom paint that matches dark blue trim? Hate using that sky blue color that is so prevalent in bottom paint.

    Fuel gauge glitch

Had same issues. Bad sending unit. Even new ones not very accurate. Poorly designed/built stuff it seems.

    Keel damage

Yeah I was kinda thinking along those lines. Gonna take to a shop. Thanks for the advice.

    Keel damage

The keel is V shaped. The entire point of the V has been sheared off down about an inch leaving at least an inch wide flat jagged area running about 3 ft long. Yeah I slammed the rock pretty good.

    Keel damage

Can I use Marine-Tex for this?

    Keel damage

Chewed up about 3 ft section of keel under cockpit on rock last summer. About inch deep along length. Thinking of grinding to fresh glass and shaping new chopped glass and resin and grinding edge shape. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Another leak source question

My 1988 CD-22 always collects water on deck when it rains as expected. But recently I have noticed some water accumulation (about a quart or so) near cabin even in dry weather. Any ideas where this might be coming from?

$18k + $11k for a Honda 90 and then all the work needed and the unknowns. Not much of a bargain.

    Trailer Jack $#%!!!&

Pls keep all cajones out of plain view. I don't actually think it's a rust issue. I think the gearing mechanisms are very poorly designed/built. That seems to be the weak link. I would gladly pay $200 for a jack if they guaranteed it for at least 5 yrs. the hassle of dealing with a busted...
