how many miles per day do you like to travel?

When we go out for 3-day weekends in Prince William Sound, we typically log somewhere around 150-200 miles - give or take - including putzing around setting/pulling shrimp pots, fishing, and general gunkholing. My wife prefers 'being there' over 'getting there'. So, we cruise at whatever speed...

    Navman Fuel 3100

Thanks for the link!!!!!! I'll definitely be getting my NavMAN 3100 FUEL fixed now. I've had it forever on the Arima, and it has started losing the digits on the display. I thought I would have to get rid of it, and with the NMEA 2K hooked to the Suzuki, I could get fuel flow/economy readings...

    Another C-Dory going north

Thanks for taking care of our new baby on the way up to Alaska, Jack. Much appreciated! The 26-footer is a lot bigger than the 17-foot Arima we've been enjoying for the past eight years. After taking the shrink wrap off.

    new Marinaut interior

It's not the setup that I would choose, but it's nice to see that the factory is willing to do custom configurations. I'm sure the new owner will love it!.

Mounting 1 KW Furuno (Airmar) Transducer

Hmmm... Furuno says their 525TID-TMD is the same as the Arimar M258. And Airmar says the M258 is 4.25" X 10.25" (with all the mounting shims), and weighs 7.9 pounds. I'm not sure what you have, but are you sure that it's a 525TID-TMD, and is actually "12-inches in diameter and 17 pounds"? In...

I hate foot ball and the sea hawks.

Um... I don't think much assumption was necessary when you said: And, I'm actually shocked you watched any part of the game at all after a comment like this... Hypocrisy, thy name is starcrafttom. Seriously, what happened to just being nice?

    marine four stroke oil article

Captains Cat - I'm sure there are several ways to test lubrication properties. Here's the results of one such test that uses some expensive, calibrated equipment (LINK). But, I'm sure a guy could figure out how to get similar results with cheaper methods, even if those results were only...

    marine four stroke oil article

What I find interesting, is that they didn't bother to test for any differences in lubrication. Wouldn't that be the first thing to test in a comparison of oils?
