after reading some of these notes now i'm not sure we're doing the right thing. we bought a new 22 and keep it in a slip for 6 month season upper chesaeake so we knew we would have to paint.. the dealer immediately recommended they sand , 2 coats barrier then 2 coats bottom paint, not sure what...

hello and welcome, we recently bought a 22 cruiser at cutter ( oct-nov) and will be taking delivery sometime in march. i thought when we were there last to check on our winter storage that there were 1 or 2 that looked smaller, or maybe they were 22 anglers, they didn't have the whole cabin...

I'm sure there are tons of insurance co.s out there, besides boatus does anyone have any suggestions or recomendations for a good company. we currently have seahorse. haven't had to ever file a claim the premiums have been alittle lower on our old boat than boatus offered. I am getting quotes...

Anyone Own A 22 or 19 On The East Coast? (On the Chesapeake?

i 'll be getting a chance to find out for sure next spring. i had a sea trial on a rough day and you just have to slow down seemed to go along pretty well . we will be changing from a deep v hull so the whole planing thing will be different. i would think that the largest model you could afford...

    batteries/winter

We are taking delivery in march and the dealer is wrapping and storing for us, when I asked about removal and storage of the batteries their responce was they leave them in and they'l be fine. opinions on this setup

well i hope i'm not upsetting anyone i know it has been discussed before.. i'm just a newbie with this web site we have... danforth anchor hawse pipe with chain tension clamp 150' chain locker thru hull drain and yes we are dealing with cutter marine( satisfactorily at this point)...

    opinions on this setup

I would think though that trying to feed rope line down thru the hawse pipe would not be the easiest thing and the chain would fall down better and not take up the space inside and not have the musty smell of wet line-- at least they seem to be the pros as i'm thinking time will tell i guess.. i...

    opinions on this setup

I am a new owner of a 22 and we decided on peck pipe, danforth, locker thru hull drain, and at the recommendation of dealer 150' of chain, no line rode at all. we are on chesapeake with primarily sand and mud bottoms and have used a fluke style on our old boat. but the all chain rode will be...

    bilge pump

we are buying new 06 but they told us that the pump that's in now will "check" every so often and then continue to run if it senses water.. i don't like that idea we are used to 3 position switch with float and i think that is what we will ask them to replace it with also by what eveyone is...

    bilge pump

we are in process of buying now.. was reading posts about pumps but couldn't find it again so what do you all think about the pumps that check for water every so offen. i've never had that kind before and think that they would be annoying and battery draining( our boat would be in the water...
