1/2 ton tow vehicle fo 25?

I still can't give you a specific answer about the RAM, but what I was trying to say before is that I have no problem pulling at the max rating. The key is to set up the trailer properly... it needs its own brakes, and needs to support the load of the boat. All the truck needs to be able to do...

What is your tow vehicle / what's a good price for a trailer

I tow a large boat (28 Bertram - twin diesels - 17.5k in tag-along) with my one ton Ford diesel dually. I have towed it from Long Island to California with absolutely no problems. Towing comes down to a couple of things: Tongue weight - how much capacity your tow vehicle has for load on the...

I generally use Safari on a Mac. I have AdBlock installed so that I see no ads, and Incognito installed so that Google and Facebook can't use tracking cookies. Seems to work well... Cheers! John

    Edge trim

I'm thinking I will use Trim-Lok's ranged trim: http://www.trimlok.com/prod/Size-Ranged ... goryID=155 It looks like it should accommodate all the varying widths without resorting to silicone. Thanks for all the help. Cheers! John

    Edge trim

Thanks for the replies! I do mean the black (pvc? vinyl?) push-on edge trim that C-Dory used to finish the fibreglass edges. Bob, are you saying the factory would have done this? Like I said, it didn't stick to the edge trim, so it didn't succeed as an adhesive. I was under the impression that...

    Edge trim

The edge trim on my 16 Cruiser was looking pretty uneven and pulling away in the inner radius curves, so I take it off... and under it is silicone sealant. Was this done by the factory? And is there any easy way to get it off? It didn't stick to the edge trim, but it sure stuck to the...

Something here does not smell right.

Run, don't walk away... This scam is really prevalent among the Toyota motorhome crowd... The grammar and spelling should also be a clue. John

    Bilge pump for 16' Cruiser

Thanks, Nor'easter and all... I had early on in this decided that the splashwell was a bad idea, and a kind brat had pm'ed me his pic of the port thru-hull. Noreaster, your thru-hull looks like it is only a 3/4". I think that's a little small for 1600 gph... I've ordered a 1 1/8" thru-hull...

    Bilge pump for 16' Cruiser

Thanks, Rod! I agree that an 1100 should be serious enough... but if the factory went with it, it's good enough for me. That means I need a 1.125 thru-hull, so I'll get on that! Cheers! John

    Bilge pump for 16' Cruiser

Thanks for looking Rod! I can't wait to get home and measure out where that will be... What size pump is installed? 500 or 1100? If you don't mind my being a pest, that is... Thanks again! John

    Bilge pump for 16' Cruiser

I'm hoping there is some other alternative... the splashwell backs up just when I'm washing the boat. Maybe I just have to lay down and look at it some more. Thanks!

    Bilge pump for 16' Cruiser

My 1992 16' Cruiser did not come with a bilge pump, and I would like to install one. Where to put the pump is easy; but where does the outlet go? It seems that along both the port and starboard sides is foam, and I don't want to cut through the core at the transom. I'd love to know how other...

AIR/SEA Battle Scenes from 1942 Movie, "Air Force"

To be even more persnickety, it was actually the United States Army Air Forces from June 20, 1941 – September 17, 1947. The Air Corps was 1926 - 1941. Calling the movie "Air Force" was both correct and appropriate. My father enlisted in October 1940 in the US Army and retired thirty years later...

    Factory numbers for Gelcoat colors

Scott, I have a 1992 16' cruiser that is "white" and blue. I see the number for the tailgate blue, and I'm pretty sure that is what I need. But my white looks more like an ivory or beige or something. Did C-Dorys come in both white and ivory? If so, what would be the number for that? BTW, my...
