The cockpit and the v-berth and windage

Not to discourage you regarding the c-dory,a great vessel, but you may want to check out the Rosborough line. We had a RF25 for several years. These boats are very amenable to modification or use "as is". Good luck. Ron

communication differences between aviation and marine

A little off topic, but interesting. We boated on Lake Champlain for 40 years. The most difficult transmissions to understand originated with the Burlington Coast Guard station. When they made a broadcast it seemed that they thought they had about 7 seconds to get it all in. For instance...

    Radar/chartplotter combo

Hi Gene & Mary, We had had the Raymarine C120 multi screen display on our 25' Rosborough. It included depth sounder as well as radar and chart plotter. As you probably know you can toggle between full screen on each display, have 2 displays showing or have all 3 up at the same time. On Lake...

    Used Honda EU2000i

Instead of using the 50' shore power cord, you can buy a 10' or 12' (I forget which) one and the pigtail adaptor. Easier to handle in small quarters and avoids the hassle and possibly tripping over the excess cord. This worked out very nicely when we had our Rosborough. Good Luck. Ron

    2006 22 Cruiser, $42,700 (Eugene, OR)

Sounds like a very nice deal. Too bad we're over 3000 miles away. Ron

    "...Oh, what a Cute boat!"

We don't have a C-Dory, but a Rosborough. Our boat was called " cute" last summer by a landlubber. Call my boat "nice looking", "different","great looking"," lobstery" "weird looking", even ugly-just don't call it "cute". Just one of my personal Quirks I guess:-) Ron

You think your boat is expensive to run...

This happens to be one of my "pet peeves". Namely the inflated supposed cost of SAR missions. The way I read it, full pay, benefits, vacation time, insurances etc are pro rated to a daily basis and included in the SAR expense. Also seem to be included is the depreciation on the "assets"...

    Newby wants ride!

bcassal, Not to take anything away from C Dory, they are a fine boat. But about 155 miles from you in Oak Harbor there is a Rosorough dealer, EQ Marine. They have a website. I recently bought a Rosborough. You may want to check this out. There is also a Rosborough dealer closer to your...

    Venture 29?

Thataway--Sorry Bob-just went over all the posts on this topic and realised that I read your comment regarding SeaLand heads as "Electra San" How I did that--I don't know! That may fill the bill nicely. Ron
