I investigated this a while back. Ownership is complicated - the seller signed the boat to someone else to collateralize a loan.
Then there is the custom Oregon Duck color scheme. I am a Husky, but my wife thought it was cute.
I think it is probably a very good deal if you want a small cabin and displacement speed, and can deal with the title issue. And if you are not a Husky, Cougar, etc.
That is a really good price. Which means that my price with similar options plus a boom bimini, Radar, and Autopilot, even though a little older is a great price!!
Unless you are happy to cruise the Duluth/Superior Harbors and limit your Lake Superior cruises to "fair weather", the R21 is not your boat! However if this is your "first vessel" its a great introductory boat to get into the hobby. The "mast" shown in the photo supports a "steadying sail" for those times when seas are rough and the "rolling motion" of the rounded-bilge hull produces an unpleasant ride! Add this to the fact there is just not enough room for over nighting and you have some issues to consider. The R21 I sold several years back is in your area and named "Q-T". I'd suggest finding someone who owns an R21 with the intent of having a few rides before making any decisions.
