Hey - anyone remember this post?

That's right - Sunday is our one year anniversary at the new digs. Who's buying the beer? I'll be hoisting one high, with a toast to all my great new friends who made everything possible.

Quite often, Mike and I get all sorts of praises for the "things we do". Truth is, we don't do much but put out the welcome mat, and enjoy the fine folks that stumble upon our little virtual pub. Meeting so many of you "in the flesh" makes it even more rewarding.

And lest we forget our roots - here's a link to what started it all, way back in March of 2002.

Damn...this is starting to sound like one of those cheesy awards show speeches. Somebody quick - cue the music!

LOL what "started it all" was this old reprobate "pissin-off-the-poob" LOL LOL

Ah who cares about "details" anyway right!

Okay; congrats of a safe and fun 1st year there Bill! Great new site here! :)

One year..jeepers, what will the coming years bring to the little internet yacht club pub? A big tip of the hat to Bill for leading us out of the MSN cave into these new digs and to RF for causing trouble AND to Mike for "diluting" the knowledge base.

I suppose the dues will increase now...O well, I'm going to launder my blue blazer and wear it all day in remberance of this event.

I have some bean induced music for ya

Bill and Mike,

I want to thank you guys for all the work you do to run the site. This site certainly adds to my C-Dory enjoyment. The boat is great, and I'm sure I would always find fun ways to use it. But, the site provides the opportunity to meet other C-Dory boat owners, share info, and (most importantly) motivate me to go to new waters for C-Dory gatherings. Without the site enthusiam for getting together I wouldn't get to as many places as I have.

Thanks, Rick from Maine

Yeah - here's to you guys for not letting absolute power go to your heads! The site has the same great feel its had from the beginning, when Tyboo Mike and RedFox went on long, off-topic riffs. Here's to "No Rules - Just Be Nice" !

OK, I made a cake to commemorate this amazing anniversary. Actually, it's for my grandson's birthday, but I don't make too many cakes, so we gotta share.

It's an ugly cake, but it's kinda cute. Note the dazzling blend of colors and the intricate design. I live in a house full of girls, but they all took off for the weekend. The last thing grandma says on the way out the door is, "Don't forget to make a cake for Austin." So, they deserve what they get, I guess. I will probably be in trouble when they get home, even though I did a pretty good job of cleaning up the mess in the kitchen.

Thanks to all the fine folks (all 660+ of you!) who make this Pub such a great place to be. We got through 11,268 messages in 1,087 topics, 5,892 pictures in 235 albums, and 12,641,784 hits (in 2004 only, as of 10:00am today) on the various pages without anyone breaking the only rule we've ever had. Plus, we have a couple representatives from the C-Dory factory providing valuable help for our members and visitors, and a few more (I suspect) who monitor the pages to help them refine the boats they build. I am fond of saying that the C-Brats have sold more C-Dorys than the relatively new owners of the factory have since they took it over. That is arguably true, but in reality, the boats sell themselves. We just provide a place for folks to discover and validate their decision to buy. And we have a whole bunch of fun!

No signs of us stopping, either!!

I'm TyBoo Mike and I approved this message.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY C_BRATS :cake
Special thanks to Bill & Mike. We have had a great time meeting and boating with the C-POD.

Hi Mike,
That cake looks just beautiful. Only where are the counters and gadjets and such?? No stainless or plastic wood in sight!!
I did not know you were so talented. Where has time gone? Seems like just yesterday Judy and I met you folks at the Portland boat show. Funny how owning a C-Dory has changed our lives. Getting to know so many people and making so many friends. All this from buying a boat just to go fish from.

What a cake!!! Looks like a large eagle stopped by just after the Mooses baked it.

1 year indeed. Seems like only a month or so, sometimes like ten years!! What a great site!!

Mike had the celebratory desert so I tried to post the main course Judy and I enjoyed for this most important milestone. We put together a seafood pizza that includes bay scallops, prawns, and lox, plus a few cheeses. The Pizza came out ok but my digital camera had dead batteries and we settled for a picture with the disposable camera. The other thing we include with our celebration dinner was some fine (and I do mean really fine) Snoqualmie Harvest Moon and Steamtrain Porter Beer from the head Beer Brat Bros. I feel bad for those of you on the far shores that have not had the chance to enjoy this magical C-Brew from Pat and Daves infamouse brewery. It's been with us as long as this site has.

Mike,
That's a great looking cake that any true Brat would be proud to stick a fork into so don't apologize for a thing, I love it.

Bill,
You're latte expertise is way surpassed by you're nerdieness, and that is a compliment for which we all thank you.

Greg,
What more needs to be said but , Thanks.

This is a great site and I love it.
Happy Birthday to us all.

Tim
