Today while Perch fishing a unusual but beautiful boat for this area slowly pasted by me on the river.I couldn't get the name or model of this vessel but it was registered in Michigan. After searching the web i think it was this kind of boat.

I don't think it had the last set of windows in the aft portion of the pilot house but other than that it was virtually the same. Very nice fishing and cruising rig.

This is the one i saw!

Yes those are nice (and well made) boats. Here's a link to the manufacturer's web site. I looked at these carefully at the Seattle Boat Show a few years ago. They do a really good job on the interior.

Nice boats! Not sure I'd want to be on one of those down south in the summer... any boat surface that isn't white can burn your skin. But, for the northern climes, those are tough boats.

Our little boat, Petunia, is an Alumaweld. Even down here in Florida the boat doesn't get particularly hot. I'm taking her out tomorrow morning about 6:30AM. I plan on being back before the heat index gets over 100. I guess because aluminum is a good heat conductor, and my boat is heavy gauge aluminum, I get too hot before the boat does.
