Well, I joined a health club located about 5 minutes from home. It opens at 5:30 AM. I arrive at about 5:35. I start with some squats, one foot balancing and light free weights. Then I work out on about 8 or 10 machines, alternating between upper and lower body machines. After that some aerobics and finish up with a mile on the treadmill. All the while listening to CarTalk, FreshAir, or music on the Ipod. The whole thing takes about an hour and a half. After a few months of doing this five or six times a week I have lost weight and feel great, physically, of course. But the improvement in my mental outlook, my attitude, has been both unexpected and nothing less than phenomenal.
