I keep losing the window handles on my c-dory. It seems they last about 6 months or so then when I'm sliding the window shut they pop off and usually go in the drink. Is there something I can do to help the windows slide easier ( I do wash them out and clean the runners as best as I can). Any lubricant to help them slide? I have a few old handles but I don't want to reuse the 2 sided tape. Any thoughts?

Thanks

A spray silicone or "liquid rollers" usually helps a lot.

I use WD-40 and it works like a champ. I have heard others mention liquid rollers.

I had one of my handles come off and used silicone to attach it, it has stuck ever since.

As soon as the windows start to feel snug, I reapply the WD-40.

Good luck.

We also spray the "felt" and around the windows with "liquid rollers" (a silicone lubricant). It works well. Be sure and clean out the groove, and wash after salt water use--the salt crystals will deposit in the grooves.

I used rear view mirror glue from auto parts store and is still hanging in there. Been in place for a year or so.
