Hello: I have a 1984 C-Dory that needs new outer window gaskets...it wasn hinted to me by a passerby that the windows are NOT Sea Glaze...but made by a now-defunct company called "Northwest Metals"...but they look like any other C-dory windows to me...so..has anyone sourced new outside gaskets...or should I just carefully tape them and apply a tube sealant. Thanks! David

Here are a couple of threads that may help you (if you have the same windows). I ran across them when I was looking at a 1990 C-Dory that had the older-style windows (in this case they had silver frames, not white ones like the newer boats, which was an obvious tip-off).

The first thread has discussion, and the second one has a resolution (with part numbers!).

Automotive type windshield urethane works excellent. If you need to "tool" the bead, you can wet a putty knife with thinners - this leaves a smoother finish and does not "pull" the urethane.

The other trick is how you pull off the tape. Pull it back on itself and in towards the centre of the bead.

Wear latex gloves, its hard to get urethane off your hands.
