Wid and Water in Western Washington power outages

Hi, Well the rain and wind are here and lots of people are with out power, If you need a room , bath, laundry or a hot meal we have power, FOR NOW, But if you dont and need anything let me know. I will check back here a few times a day or just call me at 425 220 6567.

Had to make three detours today driving into town because of downed trees. Came home to find one across the road within walking distance of the house (and chainsaw). Too bad it was rotten and couldn't be used for firewood.

Spent Saturday night at anchor in a cozy harbor. Still had to go on deck at 1 a.m. and let out more rode (7:1). Learned a lot about my ground tackle. Forecast said 15 to 20, but I'm sure we had gusts of 50.

Wind is still howling but when mixed with a crackling fireplace it's cozier than on a calm night.

Tom, Thanks for your offer. There are tons of folks out on the West end that are out of power, flooded out and going to shelters out there. Some of them are going for helicopter rides, just to get out of their houses.

I stopped at the heli pad behind the hospital in Port Angeles this afternoon. The strait was just a bed of white froth. Winds 25 to 50. Would have turned SleepyC into a downwinder surfin sailboat. :shock:
