Dave glad you survived the floods. I can't imagine that much water that quick. Thats more than we get from our hurricanes.

As far as your wreck glad no one was injured. My daughter got a ticket about a year ago when someone backed out of a parking space into her at a minute market. The other driver didn't have a drivers license or insurance. Good luck on that.
 
Ken - thanks for the conformation. It is hard to comprehend that much water in such a short time frame.

The police would not investigate. I called them after the other driver took off and they said, unless it was a hit and run and this was not because he talked to me and I had his license plate number, it would be up to my insurance company to decide what to do. I am denying fault in the accident. The other party does not have insurance and I believe he does not have a driver's license. He also did not own the other vehicle.

It's a long story and the last chapter has not been written, so I don't want to comment on the details until then.

By him taking off probably saved you a ticket, but it more than likely saved him several by the sound of it. Maybe saved him from going to jail. You probably have uninsured motorist. They will pay and that will be
" case closed" No justice in these kind of cases. Your insurance premium will sneak up because of it.
