Flat rocks with a picture of a C-Dory painted on them

They appear mysteriously in your C-Dory while you're
in the San Juan's.

Has anyone else found one? 8)

Wow! What a project. I haven't done this for a while.
Is there a simpler way to upload a picture?

You've been had by Photobucket's new hosting policy. $399/year to allow another site to link to your pictures.

This one has been floating my boats for over ten years. Cost? 23 bucks a year, more storage than I will ever use. No ads, no BS. Easy interface for uploading to the site, easy to map a hot link from my stuff to anywhere, including forums like CBRATS.

Here is my layout. Just one of a dozen ways to do it, without programming. Takes a couple rounds to get the hang of it, then there is nothing else to relearn.

Flickr is similar. Free w/ads, $29/year no ads. Lots of photography/tech info.

Hey Cap'n Jack,

Leaving painted rocks (random acts of art) has become a big deal and there are several groups in your area that create the rock paintings, hide them, and hope the person who finds them will either treasure them or re-hide them. I have actually found several here in Ketchikan, AK that were stamped with Fidalgo Island Rocks on the back! I don't know how they traveled so far, but I enjoyed them.

Whidby Island and Anacortes have large groups that do this as well as Fidalgo. Google 'fidalgo island rocks' and you'll get a link to their FB page as well as links to some interesting articles. I'd say you were lucky and should treasure the little painting!

Jackie
